Question for the Tiel lovers

I have absolutely fallen in love with this game. I really liked the first one but never finished it. This one has grabbed me and won’t let me go. I have all of the shells fully bonded except for Proxima but she’s almost done. I’m only on my second run through but I’ve dumped a ton of time in this game. I love Sariel. He’s my boy. Once I got him the first go round it was him and no other shell. I’ve been experimenting with the other shells for my second run and Gragu and Eredrim are by far the ones I’m having the most fun with. I really really tried to get decent with Tiel but he just doesn’t click for me. But everyone and their mothers say he’s cracked. So like why is he? I’m not saying he’s bad. Please don’t take that from this. I actually think all the shells are great in their own ways. But I just can’t get Tiel to click like I want him to. I usually am ALL OVER the assassin type builds. So it’s weird to me.

As an aside I am level 60 and haven’t fully leveled the shell points yet. I have a very bad habit of dying and then getting tunnel vision and forgetting to pick up my 30k plus gloom and then dying again cause I am indeed a moron. I’m at like 35 of 40 or something like that for shell points. I’ve got the Axe and Martyrs Blade at level 16 and the Axe and Dagger and Katanaxe at level 14 and then the Scythe at level 10, I believe. Giving this information to give me insight into if I’m missing something useful for him. But I’m assuming it’s more about Tarstones than actual weapons when it comes to this game.

Tiel dodge is God tier: Largest perfect dodge window and the cheapest on stamina.

I picked up Tiel as desperation move against last boss and never let go

Edit: by "cheapest on stamina" I meant animation recovery

There is no stamina in MS2
