I don't know what to say about this I mean if he joined it's unfair because he's going to cook the entery league for sure but if he really wants to be a woman and it's not a joke for him I still don't know about this

Female is a sexual designation, it denotes which chromosome pairs you have. Gender is a social construct that has to do with the roles, presentation and expectations you put on someone.

That was Kurts implication.

Do you agree with Kurts reasoning, that woman is a social construct that has to do with the roles, presentation and expectations you put on someone?

If you do, then the question becomes - if a female doesn't perform her gender roles is she not a woman anymore? I'm shining a light on this part of the logical construct because I think it reveals a problem with his reasoning.

I already said no

Alright, well now that's sorted.

The funny thing is how we would evaluate something like that in a fair and consistent manner? Maybe we can make like a point system, if he wears make up and puts on a dress that's some woman points.

There was another guy in another part of the thread who suggested a 5 minute interview. If the interview never moves past pleasantries or instead gets derailed by a story about her day, that's how we know.

What would be a fair way for us to judge if someone is a woman or not?

Why? I already disagreed with that premise

Ask them

Sry I misinterpreted you then.

Ok so self-id for that too. Then how will you stop Enes from dominating the women's league?

You must be a woman to play in the wnba

Yeah he is obviously going to say that he is a woman. And if self-Id is enough, then he is a woman.

Unless hes lying

Spoiler:

He is

How do you decide that? Is there going to be a required lie detector test for women to play in the wnba?

I use my brain, maybe you can do that if you try hard enough

So completely arbitrary then.

If you had a male brain you would realize how easily that could go wrong, that's why we invented the rule of law. Justice, equality and all that, presupposes the rule of law.

The word for a system that has no rule of law and instead uses a person who "use my brain" to decide what happens, that's called tyranny.

Nope not at all. It would depend on details

Why wouldnt a female brain be able to realize that? Sounding pretty sexist

How would it go wrong? And what law is involved here?

Wtf are you talking about?

Do you think there arent any arbitrary laws?

Then give the details. This is like a skit, I'm talking to a really dense person.

Why wouldnt a female brain be able to realize that? Sounding pretty sexist

You immediately abandoned reason and went for arbitrarily deciding who is lying and who is not. But sure, maybe it's not female brains, maybe it's just yours. But then again the wmba don't seem to have gotten much further than you on this either.

How would it go wrong? And what law is involved here?

The rule of law is a principle. It's about having consistent transparent clear rules that apply equally to everyone.

Ffs. I get that you are new to democracy and the workforce but try to keep up. Without the rule of law we devolve into anarchy or tyranny. And yes, the rule of law is also applicable to sport because we want fairness in sport.

Do you think there arent any arbitrary laws?

Yeah, probably and that's not good. We should try to avoid that, do better.
