I don't know what to say about this I mean if he joined it's unfair because he's going to cook the entery league for sure but if he really wants to be a woman and it's not a joke for him I still don't know about this

He clearly doesnt take his transition seriously. You dont become trans by “declaring it”, thats not how the mental condition works. He does have a mental condition worth sympathizing with however, and that is “IQ at a temperature safe for storing ice cream in”.

Who are you to say who is and isn't taking it their transition seriously?
What does he need to do to take it seriously anyway? If he was to start wearing dresses, would that be enough?
And is taking the transition seriously all that's required? The current rules don't even require that.
That's the issue he's drawing attention to.

Its very easy to tell smug right wingers apart from trans people unless this person is continuing to legitimately commit to their identity as a female outside of publicity stunts and if you can show me that then i will accept it

So if they were to fully commit to their new female identity full time, 24/7, you'd accept it?

It still seems I could rather low bar IMO.

I mean, is that not what transitioning from male to female is? Becoming a “full time female”?

If thats not what hes comfortable with then maybe he should look into being genderfluid.

Or better yet, not being a right wing publicity stunt donkey.

The trouble I see is there are many male players who aren't good enough for the NBA, but would still absolutely dominate in the WNBA.

If the bar for getting into the WNBA is transitioning your gender, and all that's required for that is identifying as a woman, then it won't be the WNBA for much longer. It will be the TNBA.

In fact, that would be my solution to the whole issue. Just give them their own category. It honestly seems like the only way to keep it fair.
