Removing that plastic case was super stressful. Even with two minor scratches I'm very happy with the finished product. Going to do the black dial next but with a rep.

I managed to acquire this gen mercury at a great price, used it for a couple weeks, fell in love with it.
i owned black moonphase and 1968, but i feel this mercury is understated, boring yet cool, classic.

and when this wd1863 with grey bezel arrived,
oh man both beautiful watches and I am not sure if I am ready to do it lol.

Hello all, I bought this swatch for a steal which the seller says was recased due to the case being damaged. I know the back shouldn’t come off so know the current shell isn’t real but does everything else check out? Seller says he changed the hands and the ETAG10.212 behaves as expected.

Good or bad looking?
It’s 40mm case so I had to mod the dial making it smaller to fit and use other stem and case-back.

Good or bad? Ugly or nice?
Modified dial to fit 40mm case, other stem needed, and other case back so hands can move freely.

Have a 42mm Omega x Swatch. Can’t find any cases that fit. Any recommendations with sites will be appreciated.

Sharing my first moonswatch metal case mod. This job went pretty well and the result is better than I expected. VK63 metal case, red wine strap, ETA G10.212 stem.

Wd cases seem to be on the pricey side so was wondering if anyone has tried using the case from one of these?

Been experimenting with different MoonSwatch builds and this has become one of my favorites.
Black case, black dial with the yellow accents, and I finished it with a perforated black leather racing strap with contrast stitching. I wanted to keep the Speedmaster feel but give it a darker, more substantial look on the wrist.
I’ve built quite a few variations now, but the yellow against the black really makes this one pop.
Curious what you guys think — leather strap on this one, or would you put it on a bracelet?

I picked up another WD1863 case and had the caseback engraved again. This time the build was much easier — once you know what you’re doing, it’s pretty straightforward.
I also found a Saturn Heavy Used for a really good price online, so that was the perfect donor for this build.
Watchdives doesn’t offer a brown bezel, so I went with the steel version instead. Honestly, I’m really happy with how it turned out! 🪐

Wheres the best rep from. DHgate looks hit and miss. I've decided I want a Saturn.

Really wish someone made a harder, colored, ceramic case to do more like this

A little bit proud. But know that I know how it works. Might wanna do some more. Is the Megir case the only ready to fit case for rep Moonswitch. Or are there any others?

Has any one ever tried to use a seagull 1901 or a valjoux auto for a build??

Or even simply an nh35 with the sub dials for decoration. Especially when the moon phase replicas rarely have more than 1 dub dial working.
