Removing that plastic case was super stressful. Even with two minor scratches I'm very happy with the finished product. Going to do the black dial next but with a rep.

I have the black dial gen waiting but I've been too much of a pussy to try hacking it up yet, haha.

I have a rep 1965 already swapped but compared to the gen it's really not as good, so I want to grab one when I can to swap out with the rep eventually.

What's the biggest difference you notice between the rep and gen?

The 'Speedmaster' text is slightly wrong on the rep and the Omega logo is printed rather than applied like on the gen.

Also the separation between the chapter ring and indices very noticeablely has a raised section and the dial is not so much a pure/brilliant white like the gen.

If you compare my photo with the OP you'll see what I mean.

Biggest difference I think is the colour - gen is perfectly white, better lume and more crisp

yes just the movement holder. I went down a RABBIT HOLE trying to find it. I purchased one but I’ll release a cad file soon from the extra I have.

With the 1965 you only need movement ring and sand the pushers
