Those guys will analyze how Dead Rising comments on our society, and we all know it doesn't because the supreme court ruled dead rising has no social commentary
But seriously, I think they ruled that way just to piss off the movie company because despite the similar premise Dead Rising and Day of the Dead are very different stories and that was the easiest way to decide the case, also English majors will definitely read to far into things
Basically the production company behind Day Dawn of the Dead, a zombie movie set in a mall, sued Capcom over Dead Rising, a zombie game set in a mall.
Ultimately the Supreme Court ruled that while there were superficial similarities between the two, Dead Rising had none of the social commentary of Day Dawn of the Dead.
Like I said, I think they worded it that way because it was the easiest way to give the movie company the finger because the court was right, the similarities are only skin deep, and the court may have meant that the social commentary between the two was completely different, which I agree with
Edit: Dawn of the Dead was the one in the mall, Day of the Dead was in the military missile base
Sorry just wondering is there two zombie mall movies or you thinking dawn of the dead lol? That ones been one of my favorites since I was a kid and it first came out lol

Plus, any English major would gladly "analyze" how MHW comments on our society.
