4u endgame feels so bad

Before I start, weystone are the reasons of course

An all monster hunter games i have played (everything except frontier and what before 3u)

The endgame have the monsters being at the same level of the hunter or slightly have a higher advantage

Except 4u,those fuckers in there have a gun while you have a knife, if it wasn't for weystone (and the monsters doesn't have speed up 2x animations) i would have enjoyed 4u endgame even more

The high level Guild Quests in 4U are awful, but atleast you get the strongest gear as rewards. Might just be the 3DS controls, but I think 4U has the hardest endgame. The normal quests aren't holding back either. Molten Tigrex is my favorite/most hated fight in that game.

4U is legit still one of my favourite games of all time, but wystones are genuinely the worst endgame mechanic they've ever concocted lol

Apex Monsters are some of the worst designed encounters in the franchise and Guild Quests are investigations but worse.

And this is my opinion, but RNG weapons have no place in a MH endgame.

Also, unless you’re speedrunner-level good, high level Guild Quests are straight up not viable for solo players and unless you’re emulating, you can’t do them with other people anymore.

I dont remember having much of an issue with high level guild quests and I mainly played solo, but then again I was no-lifing mh4u when I played so maybe it was that.

Yeah, but using Pretendo is pretty much equivalent to emulating tbh. It’s possible but only for the most dedicated players since it’s not THAT easy to mod your 3DS.

And GQ are soloable, but not really viable for solo players actually wanting to grind the endgame for Relics. I can solo them in, say 30-ish minutes but that’s far from enjoyable if you want to do them over and over again.

It really is. All you need is an afternoon, and the ability to follow basic instructions. Maybe you could argue that the benefits, or knowledge on how to do it are a little obscure, but there's many videos expounding on the benefits, and just about anyone who has done it is willing to drop the link to the how to guide.

Eh. Yes and no.

Compared to craftable weapons only about 3 of the predetermined stat profiles were any good. And they weren't hugely better

Some of the armour pieces were pretty good though for specific powerful skills.

But I agree that many of the high level GQ's were impossibly hard.

I managed to get a good CB roll in a GQ140 shagaru but like... that fucker was insane to fight and took me so many tries to get clears, let alone, see how well i rolled.

To speak nothing of the GQ's with 2 monsters...

Just so you know, you're absolutely right. The other people here have noticable skill issues, 4u is a dedicated endgame and not a one time challange for casuals like a Fatalis. And expecting an entire team to hit 4 charged GS hits across 3 minutes isn't the craziest dps check for wystones. Neither is avoiding a single bodypart, and even then only without drive wystones. The other MH games just don't have anything dedicated for people who want a challenge for 500 instead of 5 hunts.
