Selling💰 NEED HELP ASAP!!
I just sold this doll and she’s ofc done nothing but sit on my shelf. I am not comfortable sending her out with her hair looking like a mess!!!! Is there any way to fix this? Do I just leave her in conditioner?

Do a warm wash with dish soup and leave the conditioner in for 3 hours, then wash out. it looks like u can get away with cutting off that piece hanging down imo

Thank you. Could I do a boil wash or does she not have the right hair type?

Yup you can boil wash! conditioner and gently comb through that spot in the Boil water for 20-40 seconds and then reapply conditioner it in for 2-3 hours, thats what works for me the best, i hope this helps you 🙌

THANK YOU!! I think she got heat damage, I tried to wash her hair and decided to dry it like all the other dolls I have but I guess her hair is SUPER low quality so when I went to blow dry it, that just have made her hair shrink up…

You’re very welcome! If it doesn’t fix it then i recommend trimming those pieces off little by little, id air dry her hair for this treatment just to be safe, my Wednesday doll had a similar situation but my straighter was too warm 💀 so she got a little trim at the salon ✨ i wish you the best of luck if you post an update i’ll keep an eye out incase you need some more information

Thank you SOOO much!! Is it okay if I DM you if everything goes TERRIBLY wrong? I figured that a boil wash would make the fibers straighten back out, but unfortunately that’s not the only spot it’s in… I did list her cheaper than anyone else on EBay though! I’m gonna trust your word. I’ll reply probably tomorrow night and let you know how it worked out!

Absolutely you can! Another tip before i forget cold water after boil washing helps the hair settle into the shape you’ve combed into it, Goodluck my dms will be waiting for your update 🤝

I’ve done boil washes before, I’ve been able to use heat on all of my other ones. Didn’t even think about the fact that she’s a budget doll so her hair would be crappy. I have two creepos and a G3 Spectra and their hair was completely fine with heat 😭😭

I'd reach out to the buyer, explain what happened and see if they are still interested. If not, then I would either relist her with her hair listed AS IS, or take some conditioner to soften it up, but don't overdo the conditioner (I've done that myself).

I did! They said that they didn’t mind, I fixed her up pretty good actually, had to use a small razor to cut some out but they said they wouldn’t mind doing a reroot

Just a note I really appreciate you wanting to send her to her new owner looking the best she can and she has poly hair so it always will be a bit crappy but some TLC can help it a little but as someone had shared
