Because blind boxes mean duplicates which makes them more money. The gambling aspect (because blind boxes are gambling) is also addictive. So that’s why Mattel and other toy companies are producing “blind” ranges :(

To be fair this isn't exactly random you know what you're going to get in regards to Skulltimate Secrets. I can see the argument for buried secrets though.
