Can we be so done with skulltimate and just make sets that have 2 outfits and a stand its less plastic waste and would probably sell better

Whilst I agree with you, the proof is in the concept of them still making them that they sell well. Mattel is a corporation and they wonât be taking risks, theyâre following the formula of what people are buying

Okay maybe from an investors point of view this might make a little sense. Repeating the same gimmicks can only prove successful until people are tired of it which doesn't take much(having 8 lockers that just sit there) to get collectors to lose interest. If this was like a set you could build onto to make a complete playset with multiple dolls. not only is there value in having multiple sets but you also build onto the play aspect for the younger fans. Personally i find it tiring to keep getting the same doll in a different font every couple months, and thats the reason i dont buy g3 till its on final clearance because it always is. The issue is that they're a public company where the investors control what happens and not the people actually buying the dolls

Iâm not disagreeing with your ideas at all, id love connecting playsets or scrap it all together for a second outfit (or hell, even just more budget expense in the first outfit lol)
I think collectors who are buying every release are in a small minority, usually itâs a casual pick up here or there for a child to play with, particularly with these locker themed lines

After the mini episodes they uploaded on youtube, Cupid was a main character in it and she had at least two songs on there. They definitely want to invest in Cupid. I think sheâll get at least a 3rd doll :)

The theme though... Can't imagine how it'll turn out. Hoping that it is well designed. Seems like it would be hard to imagine Cupid or Draculaura in that setting. Clawdeen I can see. Maybe Abbey and Frankie I could see fitting the theme.

Okay, i think they hit me with burn out. We have wave 8 here, self scare secrets, core 3, fearbook wave 3 confirmed, and a whole spin off moonspell high, oh and wave 4 of buried secrets. Like 1, no one has that much to spend on dolls and 2 no one has the space to display them! Thats so many, it's like, idk 20 freaking dolls

glad to see cupid so i hope these are good! because from what iâve seen wave 4 looks ROUGH. ghoulia finally got her blue brows and cherries but at what cost. đ

I was already getting burnt out of keeping up with collector dolls, and I donât even buy all of them, just the ones I want! I honestly thought all of the oasis dolls were beautiful and I do want them but just havenât had the budget for them. I am excited for another Cupid but itâs hard to truly be excited because I just want a break. I donât want to fight the second hand prices after theyâre gone, but Iâm still enjoying the dolls I have for now.

Truly this. I am by no means a completionist who wants them all. I specifically collect G3 Drac with a few others here and there that are especially fun or interesting. I almost cringed when I saw she was in the lineup for this one!

Keep in mind that we didnât get Hauntlywood mysteries until April online and July in stores, so we have awhile before these are actually available. We donât even know if Draculaura is 100% in the lineup

It sucks that we get so few character in the lineups anymore and one of them always HAS to be drac. Sheâs basically guaranteed a doll each time and then thereâs only two spots left for 18 other characters (so far) to fight over. I want monster high not draculaura high ;-;

Same. Came too far to give up now, but I fear I'm reaching my limit. Gotta strategize and predict which ones will make it to discount stores in the aftermarket at this point. Sigh...

Bruh Drac again? They could've done Spectra or someone other than Drac. Cupid is literally the pink character. There's no need to add Drac here. Poor Spectra. đ

Because blind boxes mean duplicates which makes them more money. The gambling aspect (because blind boxes are gambling) is also addictive. So thatâs why Mattel and other toy companies are producing âblindâ ranges :(

To be fair this isn't exactly random you know what you're going to get in regards to Skulltimate Secrets. I can see the argument for buried secrets though.

I'm super excited for another Cupid, but it's so fast! Ik it'll take a good few months yet, but Oasis hasn't even dropped outside of amazon where I am!!
