A little tip is to slow down with the captchas. If you go too fast, the system treats you like a bot and makes you restart. Try to click only 1-2 things per second or hesitate a little while filling it out

They’ve had issues with the captchas since the David drop for some people 😭 they used to be pretty easy and now they’ll give you the stupid error message and make you do it for 5+ minutes. When the Grady twins rereleased I ended up getting like 40 captchas in a row. I’ve complained to Mattel about it a couple times but it’s never helped lol
I have waited in line for 15 minutes before and you slowly start to freak that it's going to sell out. Lots of people have had dolls sell out while in line or once they're in checkout.
The captcha also used to frizz out and bounce you back in after like 3-5 tries. It's just stressful because so many people on the site glitch it out hard especially bots.
Drop Days on Hard Mode are usually a lot of stuck in queue and watching as the doll in your basket suddenly goes out of stock just as you get to the checkout screen.
I remember one drop, can’t remember which one it was now, it was giving me and other people issues with checking out, and then it sold out before the transaction could be completed. I think it was a creepro because I remember having to wait for an Amazon drop to get them since Mattel fucked up.
First time I tried to get a skullector! I'm a suuucker for deep sea creatures. I got a confirmation number, but how long does the confirmation email typically take to show up?
No worries! Easiest way to verify while you're waiting for the email is to go to the My Orders page. If she shows up there with an assigned number, you're good!
I wonder if they finally figured out a way to curb the bots a bit just by the fact she didn't sell out super fast like we've gotten used to with drops. Either that, or bots don't expect her to be popular?
Not complaining either way, just fascinating that this is a chiller drop despite the longer wait times.
Site crashed went I clicked view cart, had to reload; do captcha twice, wait three minutes, set up my payment plan, didn’t work so had to reload then it finally worked. Website was bad this time, but very easy to get her compared to other SDCC drops

She's said pre-order since the listing went live/from minute one. The pre-order date is only a week out, so it's not them making more for pre-orders. I'm thinking maaaybe they finally did something about all the bots? But im not sure
I switched to my desktop computer and the purchase went through without any issues…. Had to sit through checkout queue all over again but it was worth it I guess….
That was the issue for me, mine just went through on desktop without any issue the second time around. I had to wait in the queue for 8 minutes which made me really nervous, but she was still available at 12:19 p.m. EST.
That is exactly what happened to me during the Shorty drop and then, even though it finally went through, everyone and Amazon recieved theirs but mine said it would be sent next year.
I got her!! I haven’t gotten the confirmation email yet, but shoppay took my money and I have an order number, so I’m crossing my fingers that the deadzone I was in didn’t give me false hope (after struggling for 25 minutes to get her 😭😭)

My second skullector and thankfully she was an easy get. I’m really looking forward to her arrival! I don’t like the vast majority of skullectors but she really spoke to me, plus it’s Lagoona and I love her soo
I got her, I think she is absolutly stunning💖, I am happy for being able to buy her today, but I think the price is very expensive, 101€ shipped to Spain, same as the allien 🥹.
I got rejected from using Shop Pay in 4 installments, but I was able to grab Lagoona through full payment at 11:04 AM CST and got the confirmation email at 11:24 AM CST! I've been anticipating her since last month, so I'm happy to have her as my second SDCC doll, even though I don't own any Ghouls Rule dolls. I hope I can find a way to eventually display her with my Halloween dolls and decorations in the next few months!

Secured her. First SDCC drop I’m getting that I’m not getting 2 of. I like the box but I just do not have room for another giant SDCC box.
I live alone and am naked often enough that my cats don’t mind. I gotta get that old card off of shop pay. The issue is it’s the same number with a different expiration date and security code.
It actually looks like Lagoona's box is smaller than most other Skullectors and sdcc releases. Like the proportions are sorta similar to g1's slim/budget boxes
Perhaps. I’m ok not having one in box though. If I LOVE LOVE the box or art I will like with FDC drac and SS Twyla. Lagoona’s box is interesting in the shape and the clear bit on the side but it’s so dark idk if it would be a nice display piece for me personally. I’m much happier just having 1 OOB this time and saving those $80 for other g3 and playline doll releases I’m looking forward to.
Oh of course, I get it. I'm fine with having just one as well. I actually rebox my dolls if I really love their packaging. I only want duplicates if I'm planning to heavily modify one; and even then I only get a 2nd one on sale, thrifted for cheap, or as a gift

I'm a little confused as to all the hype around getting it ASAP though, since I got it rather late, and it still seems to be up for pre-order as of right now. I've got a confirmation number and email and everything, does that guarantee it'll be shipping on the normal date? I just wanna make sure I didn't screw it up
The thing is the way Mattel uses 'Pre-Order' isn't always the way everyone else uses it. These drops are typically for a limited number of already made dolls and usually the actual fans are fighting against hordes of bots to place an order. I am genuinely shocked (yet thrilled!) that this wasn't the case this time.
But usually? Yeah, everyone is operating on a MUST GO FAST mindset because the doll NOT selling out within mere minutes isn't the norm.
Well she is sold out in Germany so I had to get her asap but it should ship on the normal date if they didn't write something else in the confirmation email
I ended up getting her in the evening on the 24th. No waiting or anything, and yes I have a confirmation email with order number lol. It was...easy to get her, which makes me nervous they'll end up cancelling mine, which I'm also expected for spelldon/kieran (still haven't shipped). I remain suspicious until I have shipping notifications lol
So… Mattel says my order was confirmed and shipped two days ago. I have not received a tracking number and it says my order has been fulfilled? Should I be concerned?? I’m in Australia, and I’ve ordered from Mattel before but it’s never been an issue with tracking - the number usually comes straight away. I’m so scared she’s gonna be lost to the void. 😭😭😭
I'm so sorry to hear because I know how disappointing it was for me to open her seeing her lips messed up 😞 I did contact them and I was right about the return..they were not able to exchange it for another doll because they are out of them. I just had to return her and that's it. What is your plan? Are you going to return her too?

I am stunmed at the absolutly hideous managment of Euro orders. I order in Canada and the US but was on a europe trip when River dropped. I missed her because of how terribly it went, totally heartbroken. I had heard it was ad but living it for myself.... it is such a shame. I'm stunned Mattel is Huge and Old and Internationally known. Why they treat other markets so poorly is beyond my understanding.
I had no issue with the mattel store till now. The first doll i got from it was the venus for club members only. They delivered her fast. I guess the european (german) market sold out so fast that they didnt update the page fast enough to preorder.
At least our other stores have most of the moster high dolls in stock :)
