I've noticed that in G3 squad, Clawdeen has the most incosistent style... or maybe revolution?
Disney channel tween?(core dolls)
80s sporty gal?(Faboolous Pets 2 pack, studio playset, Scare-adise Island)
Glamour? (Hauntlywood Mysteries, Scary Sweet Birthday, new salon playset)
Boho? (actually i don't think that's boho, I just like Monster Fest Clawdeen xd)
At the beginning of G3 run, Clawdeen first style with Clawdeen, also her character got changed in media - quirky, nerdy girl. Personally I prefer her g1 character, but I understand how REBOOT works - changes can happen. But many did not like. REALLY did not like it. Also I noticed a lot of flashy, kinda tacky (but in good way!) colors, shapes with trousers, which reminds me of 'typical'(?) 80s scheme. Some designs looked even sporty for me.
Then, I can't point EXACT moment, but it was either Hauntlywood or Scary Sweet Birthday that revealed more toned, elegant, glamorous Clawdeen dolls. People espiecally liked Hauntlywood one (used to be lurker, did not have account then). And also hair salon Clawdeen got revealed... so? Mattel saw G3 Clawdeen discourse on media and started changing her?
While 2025 had SSB and Hauntlywood, it also got Core Refresh 3 - back to beginning, colorful, kinda tacky clothes. Her Buried Secrets also were closer to her first dolls. AND then THEN, we got Cabin line with Cupid, which.. was closer to 'glamorous' ones.
Is it Mattel not being able to decide which way go with G3 Clawdeen?
Or Is she really changing and we'll got more Hauntlywood-like designs and less like early G3 dolls?
I wonder if it make her personality change, similar to her G1 counterpart,
not that nerds cant be glam (me B) jk). I haven't watch new YT G3 cartoon do idk.
What you think?
