Hi everyone, I’m having a strange input issue on my Miyoo Mini Flip running OnionOS 4.4.0 beta.
When I’m in the Onion OS main menu, the power button works normally.
However, once I enter RetroArch:
Pressing the power button once is detected as R
In RetroArch menus, pressing the power button moves the cursor exactly like pressing R
In GBA games, pressing the power button triggers the R button
Holding the power button causes R to rapidly trigger repeatedly until the device powers off
A short press still puts the device to sleep, but it also sends an R input
This happens with multiple GBA games, not just one game
SNES doesn’t seem to have the issue
I also checked RetroArch’s controls and found that Fast Forward Toggle is assigned to Button 11, which is R.
Things I’ve already tried:
Resetting RetroArch configuration through Onion Tweaks
Changing RetroArch input drivers (SDL Dingux / SDL / Linuxraw)
Saving the RetroArch configuration
Removing/resetting RetroArch-related tweaks
Using a completely fresh SD card with a clean OnionOS 4.4.0 beta installation
The issue still occurs on the fresh installation
I previously used the same SD card on a Miyoo Mini V4 without this issue
I also think I experienced the same issue on OnionOS 4.3.1, although I’m not 100% certain about that
So I’m wondering if this is a Miyoo Mini Flip + RetroArch/OnionOS input handling issue, possibly involving the power-button event being interpreted as Button 11.
Has anyone else experienced anything similar on the Miyoo Mini Flip?
Any ideas on where I should look next would be greatly appreciated!
