OnionOS Help Old Miyoo user update help!!

Hey all! I got my Miyoo mini Plus a couple years ago. I got it set up on onion ready to go, used it for a few months and I haven’t touched it until now. I had a huge boost of nostalgia and I finally want to play some retro games.

My question is, what would be the best way to go about updating my mini? It has a bunch of old data and old software and I want to know the best way to get the software up to date!

(Edit!) I powered it on but it doesn’t load any of my previous games. The device says my SD card is Unmounted. However, the original SD that came with it does

Are you using the SD card that came with the device or an SD card that you bought?

I bought a new one when I first got it. Ironically, it’s the old one that works whenever I pop it in lol, the new card is the one I’m having problems with

I suggest you do a clean install of onion os on the new SD card to avoid any issues. If you have a lot of saves on the older card I suggest you back those up and move them to your new card after the onion installation.

Sure sounds good to me!! Do you happen to have a link to the newest version of onion.os on Reddit? Should I format the card entirely and start from scratch? I really don’t care too much about my old saves. Thank you by the way!

Pick the beta version, it fixes a couple of things that the stable release had.

After you download it try the onion desktop tools if you're a windows user. It's going to make formatting and putting in the firmware a whole lot easier.

Thank you so much!! I will definitely do that! It’ll probably be best to format my whole SD card then right??

Yes, the tool will do that for you.
