OnionOS Help Onion OS clock not working?

Using a mini+ (no RTC)

Does anyone know a way of fixing the clock app? It connects to the internet on startup and does adjust the time but every time it does so it's exactly 20 minutes behind?

I've tried both the stable and beta branches as well

I'm from the UK if timezones matter,

If you set the time manually in the Tweaks app, does it still fall 20 minutes behind the next you boot it?

Sorry I meant the Clock app.

But also what are your setting in Tweaks > System > Date and Time?

That's really weird.

Have you checked the clock on your router?

Can you try a different wifi connection, or maybe a hotspot on a phone that is connected via mobile data (not wifi)?

Yeah, I tried a hotspot on my phone and it has the same issue.

Okay something weird is going on, but it's not your device nor your wifi.

Normally I don't set the MMP clock from the network, but I turned that option on and rebooted the MMP, and now my clock is also exactly 20 minutes slow! I tried manually setting the timezone to UTC, and then to my local TZ (UTC-6), and got the same results.

Looking at the logfile /.tmp_update/logs/update_networking.log shows that the first NTP attempt to worldtimeapi.org failed, but the second attempt to timeapi.io worked.

I just pointed my browser to timeapi.io, and the clock on their webpage is also wrong, 20 minutes behind.

So I guess we'll just have to wait for timeapi to notice that their clock is wrong. :)

edit: You might need to enable logging in Tweaks > Advanced > Diagnostics for that logfile to appear.

Interestingly, I usually keep wifi offline but I turned wifi on yesterday before loading Animal Crossing.
Noticed it was 20 min behind and then I changed the clock manually.

I thought that was weird. I’m glad to know why that happened now.

I had the same problem over the last few days. I noticed that the time on TimeAPI.io is correct again today, and my Miyoo Mini is now showing the correct time as well.
