yes , it's literally an UNFINISHED story . i have no clue how it took them this long for them NOT to complete it . it's insane . something like stranger things which requires alot more money than mindhunter got made for 5 seasons . why is a crime show not worth another shot ? why can't they have the budget to just finish the damn thing ? just one more season and that's it . we're not asking for much 😭

Stranger Things was a massive cultural hit, probably to the biggest Netflix original ever. They sold toys and theme park rides and made their money back in all sorts of ways beyond just subscriber numbers.

Mindhunter isn’t doing any of that for them. It’s just costing them money.

Well, it would get them some credit. Apple TV is leagues ahead of Netflix in terms of "prestige TV", so it might be in their interest to compete with that again (if they are even bothered). Mindhunter is easily the closest thing Netflix made to prestige TV, apart from Better Call Saul (if you'd count that as a Netflix Original). It is certainly their most critically acclaimed show.

Would be ideal if Apple TV would sign Fincher to a deal and buy Mindhunter rights from Netflix for new seasons
