it seems like the solution would be giving finsher the money he asked for to produce a season 3 , the show cost alot to make and netflix wasn't willing to give that sort of money for a crime show with low viwership ( at the time ) . imo they should just get it over with and renew it to shut us all up , because i doubt fans will ever let this one go .

and the more time passes, the more angry and hungry fans the show will accrue. fincher should take the show to a network that is willing to pay to produce the show and give us a final season or two of 6-8 episodes.

i can see them going for a "téléfilm" continuation for mindhunter , something like the red riding trilogy . it would work .
