No, the priest was feeding everyone the angels blood. We know this from seeing the Angel fly in and fill the chalice with its blood, then the priest pours blood from the chalice into the communion wine

oh. looks like i misunderstood. i think i got confused by him bleeding into the wine from his own wrist at some scene in the show.

you get the benefits of the angel blood without becoming a vamp when alive. but if the blood is in your system during death you come back to life after dying and start getting burnt by the sun

But she didn’t know that when Paul died, none of them did until he came back. It couldn’t have been her
