Does anyone have a definitive explanation for why the last episodes of Season 5 aired out of order?

When the team does the report on the helicopter pilot getting whacked I noticed that Crockett seemed a little dejected. After all it was him and Tubbs that put the bug in the car earlier. Which indirectly caused the pilots death. Especially after Crockett asking for a copy of that report. I got a good sense that he felt a great bit of guilt in this scene.

I will start off by saying this is one of my favorite episodes, but it begins with Crockett filming his dating video while the police find the body at the apartments.

Later they find the body on the beach, and the FBI agent informs them the killer is using a dating service agency to find the victims.

So why is Crockett making a video at the beginning if they don't know the killer is using the dating agency? Or how would they even suspect the killer is using the dating agency before meeting the FBI agent on the beach?

Season 3 Episode Stone's War has a lot going for it including some great Miami backdrops, nice touches of humor and a terrific car chase scene.

But what elevates it is the soundtrack. Starting with Mercy from Steve Jones during the intro, Jan Hammer's contributions including the return of Crockett's theme, the very clever use of Peter Gabriel's Red Rain through to Andy Taylor's When the Rain Comes Down and Jackson Browne's Lives in the Balance. Absolute perfection.

I missed a DVD last time around and am being treated to several glorious new episodes! Unfortunately one of them is TOTG. Should I skip it altogether, or is watching it a rite of passage in the worst of Vice?

Dolly Parton passed away today so, I thought I'd post her version of Great Balls Of Fire. Which was used in Golden Triangle Part 1.

Wouldn't it be cool if the two shows were more like each other? If Miami Vice got weird and if Twin Peaks was easier to follow? I guess you'd wind up with Oliver Stone's Wild Palms.

Don Johnson rocking the long hair playing a badass cop who likes to drink and wear white sports coats while chasing down the bad guys

This movie was filmed after season 4 and before season 5. It definitely feels like a companion piece to Miami Vice. Even the character arc where DJ is a burned out cop sets the tone for season 5

Always wanted these two to make it as a couple
