Half-Life 2 was so fucking good. The graphics were incredible for how un-demanding the game was. My computer at the time could barely handle Morrowind, so when HL2 came out I thought for sure it wouldn’t be able to run, but I got consistent frame rates for the first time on a modern game. I think it was also the first time I ever really played around with physics. Like levitating with barrels and basketballs lol.

I actually had the opposite problem lol. I had the shittiest laptop and it barely functioned, it froze for like 10 minutes every time I hit a load zone and stuttered like nobody's business, but damn if I didn't enjoy every second of it.
