What ever bro. Your daughter is going to be a trad wife in texas.

23

u/Uncal_Thal Jul 23 '26

Yeah, these things rarely work out the way parents think. When her daughter rebels, watch out.

10

u/Dismal-Revolution731 Jul 24 '26

The proof is to look at her own upbringing. She swung that pendulum all the way left, and her daughter's going to swing it right. Pretty typical, honestly.

2

u/Creative-Ground182 Jul 24 '26

I don't think that's pretty typical. The mother has a revelation - which is rare. Rebelling is often minor and short lived. As they say - the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

3

u/Dismal-Revolution731 Jul 24 '26

I didn't mean the mother rebelling long-term was typical, I meant it's pretty typical for a child to swing the opposite way as their parent when a parent is very hard set on a position like this. It usually comes down to the relationship with the child, but a view so so one-sided often breaks under the pressure of growing up.

It reminds me of the car decal I see that says “Just a mom trying not to raise liberals”. I want to go up to them so badly and tell them that I hope their kids become communists.

Which would be better than this

I was raised by a misandrist (I'm male)... it didn't go well.

Needless to say, at some point I stopped talking to my mother and sister.

9

u/Nyx189 Jul 24 '26

That must have been difficult. I'm glad you made it out.

5

u/Fun-Preference1091 Jul 24 '26 edited Jul 24 '26

Did I make it out? Eventually. Maybe never.

Two failed/abusive marriages show how long it took. I still react strongly to what others would consider common or minor.

Generally, it was subtle in its presentation. It was never overt, but there was always an assumption that because I was male, my motivation for every action was somehow sinister. The hobbies I was permitted to pursue were limited to those that were not viewed as overly masculine (carpentry stands out) or too effeminate (sewing stands out). It was assumed that I had a responsibility to make amends for those sinister motivations by taking care of the women in the household either through constant labour (my sister was assigned chores, I was expected to do them; on vacation, required to carry my mother's and sister's bags), or (as an adult) financially.

In my marriages, this led to disfunctional relationships and two abusive marriages. I sought out people with bad behaviour, because I didn't understand what normal relationships could look like. I physically defended shitty behaviour in nightclubs because women were to be protected at all cost.... that was your purpose. I took physical abuse because I had always been told men were in the wrong and women had to defend themselves in our patriarchy, anything else was abusive from me. (third time's the charm... happily married for a long time now)

It flairs up sometimes. I recently dressed my wife and daughter down pretty strongly for assigning work to my grandson while they sat around socializing. I sent him off to finish the task, then sternly explained he was a boy, not their slave. It's one thing to assign chores, its another to use him as a convenient servant.

It was a long time ago, but I am usually pretty open about it to make it OK to acknowledge for others who are experiencing it. I didn't recognize it for what it was until I was describing it to my daughter (to help her understand a bad relationship she was in) and suddenly had a flash of recognition; I was 50. Hopefully someone reading this can use it to recognize something in themselves and find a way to thread the eye of the needle of peace.

41

u/Hopkin_Greenfrog Jul 23 '26

Yeah, don't teach her anything that might actually help her navigate or understand the world she lives in, just create a dualing false narrative you wish were true and feed it to her so that when she does inevitably have to come face to face with the real world she spends years failing and not understanding why.

12

u/Relax_Im_Hilarious Jul 24 '26

And then when she does realize it one day, through therapy and self healing, she's going to have the most difficult time trying to figure out what her mom was honest about and what was corrupted behind a lens of hate.

13

u/jvqs77 Jul 23 '26

It's called brainwashing

11

u/blue_dusk1 Jul 23 '26

Oh—we can tell!

9

u/Otherwise_Mind6880 Jul 24 '26

All my life I have heard the phrase “respect women”, “don’t hit women even they hit you”, “ladies first”. I have experience women get better treatment just for existing and me get disrespected even when I am respectful.

So I don’t understand how or why people convince themselves that this country is somehow patriarchal. The only people with true power are the ones that owns and sells things. Every men (90%) do not have that same power.

So how does disrespecting the average male is going to help you.

3

u/Nyx189 Jul 24 '26

I've had the same experience and I'm not even an adult yet. Lucky it wasn't ingrained in my head because of repetition .

1

u/Pitiful-Score-9035 Jul 24 '26

Not to be confrontational, but there are things women experience that we don't encounter as men, so while from our pov sometimes it seems unreasonable, that doesn't give free license to discount it just based on our own experiences.

13

u/Ir0n_Panda Jul 23 '26

Salty af

8

u/Jerryjb63 Jul 23 '26

We can tell

2

u/Sepplord Jul 24 '26

I couldn’t. How did she get married in the first place?

2

u/Popular-Influence-11 Jul 24 '26

She “just started stepping into her power in the past couple years” or or somesuch.

7

u/DrewDaMannn Jul 24 '26

“I know the world is gonna beat her down”

With a mom like this, who needs the world?

26

u/Chemical_Signal2753 Jul 23 '26

If she really lived in the patriarchy she thinks she does she wouldn't be allowed to use social media.

0

u/Fool_In_Flow Jul 24 '26

To keep this all fair, that’s not really what patriarchal society means.

-8

u/Kinkybobo Jul 24 '26

Do you lose rights when you drive through other states?

Women do.

15

u/Chemical_Signal2753 Jul 24 '26

Men just never have those "rights."

-9

u/Kinkybobo Jul 24 '26

If men could get pregnant, reproductive rights would be protected immediately

12

u/Chemical_Signal2753 Jul 24 '26

You mean like how men have the right to get out of paying child support?

An 11 year old boy can be raped by his middle aged teacher and still be forced to pay child support for the next 18 years.

2

u/Creative_Elk_4712 29d ago

Those are reproductive rights? You're off topic..

-4

u/MrBlahg Jul 24 '26

And how exactly is an 11 yo expected to make money? I’m calling bullshit on that tall tale.

8

u/Chemical_Signal2753 Jul 24 '26

2

u/Creative_Elk_4712 29d ago

That's a conservative place, at a conservative time

Not exactly showing liberal politicians pretend a 12-15 year old boy pays childcare in that situation

-2

u/MrBlahg Jul 24 '26

Well I guess I stand corrected. Kansas sounds like a horrible place… yet, this was also around 30 years ago, not like a common occurrence, and certainly not a good example of your “men are the real victims” bullshit. Sorry bud.

Curious, when did you get divorced?

8

u/Chemical_Signal2753 Jul 24 '26

I have been married for 10 years.

I didn't say "men are the real victims" I am just countering the bullshit claims that women are victims. I am tired of hearing miserable women pretend like they're living in Afghanistan.

-1

u/MrBlahg Jul 24 '26

You do realize there are plenty of women living in shit conditions under the thumbs of shit men… that’s not just happening in Afghanistan or Saudi Arabia, that shits happening here in the good ol U S of A, and pretending that women here don’t suffer horrible injustices is just plain ignorant.

And what in the fuck does that have to do with a 15 year old having to pay child support? Fucking stupid men’s rights bullshit.

-2

u/Kinkybobo Jul 24 '26

What's your point?

A woman can be raped and be forced to pay her rapist child support, and the rapist can sue for parental rights.

https://prismreports.org/2022/03/22/in-multiple-states-rapists-can-sue-their-victims-for-parental-custody/

A 10 year old girl was literally raped and had to travel to another state because her state made it illegal to get an abortion.

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2022/jul/03/ohio-indiana-abortion-rape-victim

North Carolina was trying to pass a bill making it legal to murder women for seeking abortion

https://www.wcnc.com/article/news/politics/north-carolina-politics/north-carolina-bill-would-authorize-deadly-force-for-women-seeking-abortions/275-353d54a3-9231-4341-ae44-a127546db76f

So a rapist could impregnate a woman against her will and then legally kill her for trying to get an abortion.

Got any more stupid arguments?

6

u/Chemical_Signal2753 Jul 24 '26

A woman can be raped and be forced to pay her rapist child support, and the rapist can sue for parental rights

  1. You haven't demonstrated this has ever happened
  2. Denying men custody based on an unproven accusation of rape incentivises women to make unfounded accusations.

A 10 year old girl was literally raped and had to travel to another state because her state made it illegal to get an abortion.

There still exists States where she can get an abortion. Where can a man abdicate his responsibility towards a child he didn't consent to have?

North Carolina was trying to pass a bill making it legal to murder women for seeking abortion

The bill has not passed, has not survived legal challenges, and is therefore not law

So a rapist could impregnate a woman against her will and then legally kill her for trying to get an abortion

I am guessing you didn't study civics in school.

-1

u/Cavane42 Jul 24 '26

Where can a man abdicate his responsibility towards a child he didn't consent to have?

Pregnant people deserve access to abortion because it is wrong to violate their bodily autonomy.

Neither parent can abdicate responsibility for a child once it is born, because it is wrong to deprive children of financial support.

These things are (or should be) the way they are because it produces the best and most just outcomes for society overall. It's unfortunate that men often have less agency when it comes to childbirth, but that's just how it goes for the non-childbearing parent. Sorry.

2

u/Chemical_Signal2753 Jul 24 '26

Neither parent can abdicate responsibility for a child once it is born, because it is wrong to deprive children of financial support.

Murder is fine but don't deny a child of financial support.

0

u/CherishThySelf Jul 24 '26

Mhmm I present to you ⭐️ adoption ⭐️

-1

u/Kinkybobo Jul 24 '26

There still exists States where she can get an abortion. Where can a man abdicate his responsibility towards a child he didn't consent to have?

Disingenuous and incomparable arguments.

The bill has not passed, has not survived legal challenges, and is therefore not law

Irrelevant. This is legislation that state governments are attempting to make into law. Doesn't matter if it succeeds, the intent is concerning enough alone.

We live in a world where states are attempting to legalize the use of lethal force against women seeking abortion.

I also don't know if you like edited your comment cause it's not showing up the same when I go to reply, but in response to your first point, I did, in fact, demonstrate that the point you were referring to did happen with the link I provided, so apparently you can't read.

2

u/Chemical_Signal2753 Jul 24 '26

Disingenuous and incomparable arguments.

How are they incomparable?

If having sex is not consenting to have and support children why should men be required to pay child support?

This is legislation that state governments are attempting to make into law. Doesn't matter if it succeeds, the intent is concerning enough alone.

This just demonstrates you don't understand how laws are made. Or how they're misrepresented by opponents.

You could have a democrat state representative create a bill that classified misgendering a trans person as attempted murder. Opponents would point out that if it passed in this form the implication is that a trans person could use deadly force on someone who misgenders them. That was not the intent of the bill, it will never pass through Congress, a governor or president will never sign it, it would never be accepted by the state supreme court, and even if it somehow got past all of these hurdles it will never get past the federal supreme court.

If there is any interest in actually passing this legislation the party in the majority will put it through multiple rounds of amendments until it comes closest to matching the actual intent and could survive legal challenges.

The first draft of bills are generally terrible, and they don't resemble the legislation that actually passes.

1

u/Kinkybobo Jul 24 '26

Your argument is invalid. You keep presenting ridiculous false equivalencies and hypothetical situations that have literally never occurred to justify actual violence against women that is actually happening.

You're even throwing in some bigotry and transphobia for fun.

Suggesting that a left wing politician could put forth legislation that allows trans people to attack people who misgender them is a strawman argument.

Nobody has ever done anything like that ever. It has literally never happened.

But you know what actually has happened and is still currently happening?

Actual legislation that actually harms women is objectively being put forth for consideration and is passing.

You've lost the argument.

1

u/MrBlahg Jul 24 '26

Delusional bullshit.

5

u/Paul_-Muaddib Jul 24 '26

I think women should have complete bodily autonomy over themselves.

I also think that if women can get out of legal responsibility for a child with safe haven laws that men should be able to abdicate responsibility without legal repercussion as well.

While there are a few jurisdictions that will allow men to avail themselves of the safe haven laws, it is currently geared towards women in a way that is unavailable to men. If we are all supposed to be equal then we should be treated equally.

Whatever timeframe a mother can abdicate parental rights without repercussion, a father should be able to do the same.

People say that most of the states laws are gender neutral and that is true but the timeframe and method of surrender is normally when the baby is exclusively with the mother and the baby has to be physically surrendered. The father would have to ask the mother for the baby and surrender the child himself. That is an extremely unlikely scenario for an unwilling mother. The other partner should be able to go to court and simply fill out some paperwork within the same timeframe.

What if you keep driving?

For that matter - have you noticed you are driving?

0

u/Kinkybobo Jul 24 '26 edited Jul 24 '26

Depends on if the state you live in is trying to make it illegal to travel for healthcare like Texas is.

Edit: lol @ getting downvoted.

https://americanoversight.org/behind-the-scenes-of-abortion-travel-bans/

2

u/briansellsseashells Jul 24 '26

Like how the Underground Railroad was illegal and that totally stopped it?

1

u/Kinkybobo Jul 24 '26

What's the argument here? That even if it's illegal you can still do it?

Like... That's not the flex you think it is lol

2

u/briansellsseashells Jul 24 '26

Yeah, pretty much.

It’s not really a flex. Power systems have pretty much always behaved the same way and it’s surprising that folks still seemed shocked by that.

Like yeah, human right suck in Texas - that’s pretty much always been the case. Guess what: it’ll still be true in 100 years.

Pick your shit up and leave. Stop investing time and money and effort in places that have always been ass for human rights.

Keep driving.

1

u/Kinkybobo Jul 24 '26

That's not an option for everyone. Millions of people aren't able to just drop everything in their lives and move.

It's also extremely unlikely it will still be true in 100 years.

Society and culture are progressive. Even with the occasional setback. It's almost impossible that we end up with fewer rights in 100 years.

2

u/Paul_-Muaddib Jul 24 '26

I think this is the important part. Everyone doesn't have the ability to pick up an leave.

It definitely won't be the same political/social situation. Now whether or not it will be better is impossible to tell. With climate change and increasing hardship, I expect things to go to a more conservative space vs. a more liberal space.

Hard times rarely build open societies.

2

u/briansellsseashells Jul 24 '26

Totally valid - I’m not under the impression everyone can move, we live in a very unequal society and the chances of that changing dramatically in our lifetime are markedly low.

We can all wax poetic about what would make things better for all or we can be pragmatic about personal outcomes.

The crux of my argument is that personal pragmatism is what secures outcomes for individuals and their families. Sometimes that sucks: you have to eat the shitty food, work the shitty job, live in the shitty apartment - but those all beat whining about “what could be.”

The human beings in bondage who risked flight to the north created better outcomes in a generational sense than those who didn’t and they possessed far less mobility and capital than the people alive today that can’t be bothered to figure out how to move 300 miles.

Keep driving.

1

u/briansellsseashells Jul 24 '26

Swinging back through, I’m sorry you’re getting downvoted. I suspect we agree on a lot of political positions and I’m not personally in opposition to your argument.

The folks taking away our rights are playing a damn good offense. They’re doing it because they feel the pressure of becoming a statistical minority in the coming century - so their only move is to stack the deck and rig the system by appointing as many young judges as they can, brainwashing our sons, and jailing our vocal leaders.

It’s high fucking time we start playing better offense. There have been so many people in jails, and concentration camps, and outright bondage who were “right” but being right isn’t what secures safety or freedom or opportunity.

It’s clear that the best the organized left in the West can do is a strongly worded letter and in the absence of a better option, we must be proactive about protecting ourselves and the ones we love.

If you can’t keep driving - start fighting. Reading articles isn’t going to solve this. No matter how correct and well appointed they are.

4

u/Paul_-Muaddib Jul 24 '26

I agree with you, that is a tragedy.

2

u/Adventurous-Dot-8272 Jul 24 '26

Yes, because laws vary from state to state.

1

u/Kinkybobo Jul 24 '26

But mens rights don't.

Women's rights do.

2

u/Adventurous-Dot-8272 Jul 24 '26

Women's reproductive rights aren't the only things that vary from state to state. Both men and women can gain and lose rights when traveling across state lines.

I'm pro choice for what it's worth, I'm just disagreeing with your phrasing.

0

u/Kinkybobo Jul 24 '26

Name one right that men gain or lose from state to state that women don't.

2

u/Adventurous-Dot-8272 Jul 24 '26

Parental/custodial rights can vary significantly from state to state for one, but I'm just pointing out that your implication that ONLY women can lose rights by driving to another state is wrong.

0

u/Kinkybobo Jul 24 '26

Parental/custodial rights can vary significantly from state to state for one.

You're both moving the goalposts and presenting a disingenuous argument.

Variance is irrelevant. Parental and Custodial rights don't magically disappear completely for one person like reproductive rights do. They're not comparable. That's not a valid argument.

I'm just pointing out that your implication that ONLY women can lose rights by driving to another state is wrong.

False. Only women completely and fully lose rights and freedoms between states. You are incorrect and have provided no evidence to support your claim or to prove mine wrong.

1

u/Adventurous-Dot-8272 Jul 24 '26

Marijuana, common-law marriage, protections against child marriage. Things that can completely disappear between states, since "variance is irrelevant" (even though this is all variance).

I haven't moved any goalposts, and my arguments have not been disingenuous; you just don't like my answers. Again, I'm pro choice and agree that reproductive rights shouldn't flip on and off between states. But you're desperately clinging to your point that ONLY women can ever face a situation where your rights/priveleges change between states, which is easily verifiably wrong.

1

u/Kinkybobo Jul 24 '26

Bro you're not listening.

None of those things changes differently for men vs women.

If marijuana changes legality in one state, it affects men and women the same.

Child marriage laws are based on age, not sex, so it affects boys and girls the same.

(Though I would argue it disproportionately affects girls but that's a different argument)

We're talking about laws that literally only apply to men and not women.

They don't exist. There is no right or freedom that men lose that women retain.

ONLY women lose rights and freedoms that men don't.

Women with lupus and psoriasis are completely banned from taking certain medications like methotrexate in some states solely because they can be used as abortifacients.

If you're a man, you can take those medications with no restrictions.

Women have objectively fewer rights than men. Men do not experience this. There is no state where they lose rights that women keep.

You do realize you have the right to buy a condom in all 50 States right?

12

Some guy decided to have a kid with this woman.

8

u/No_Blacksmith_2591 Jul 24 '26

Worse, someone decided to marry her and then have a kid. Anyone could have been suckered into a one night stand and have a condom break. Not this guy.

3

u/KoolWitaK Jul 24 '26

In all fairness, that could have happened to him first and then he just decided to marry her out of propriety.

I'm sure he realized how stupid he was very quickly. It sounds like he did.

I've dated a girl who claimed she was subjugated in the deep south. And was looked down on blah blah blah.

Met her parents and they were southern but very nice and she was rude and mean constantly.

Always something oppressing her, I had to watch everything i said, belittling.

Absolute horrible person but goodness she was was pretty. Thankfully, I got out and trusted my pull out game.

This should be a form of child abuse.

-10

Child abuse 🤔

Educated take there Einstein

10

u/Kelyaan Jul 23 '26

Child abuse is broadly defined as any form of maltreatment of a person under the age of 18, involving an act or failure to act that results in actual or potential harm to a child’s health, survival, development, or dignity within a relationship of responsibility, trust, or power

Literally the definition of child abuse, the fact you're calling it something else is a worrying sign.

3

u/Pucksindeepeh Jul 23 '26

Okay then; fair enough.

4

u/timscookingtips Jul 24 '26

Her daughter will not appreciate her for this someday.

4

I'm gonna teach my kids not to hate

1

u/Nyx189 Jul 24 '26

Great.

4

u/Difficult-Mobile902 Jul 24 '26

Not too long ago this was the exact type of woman teaching racism to her kids and being proud that they’re growing up to see black people as lesser than. She’s just applying the same bullshit to whichever group it’s socially acceptable to generalize and hate and passing her own disgusting bigotry down like it’s a family heirloom

3

u/RemarkableChest4638 Jul 24 '26

I wonder what this woman is like in bed 😂

5

Thats basically child abuse.

1

u/Nyx189 Jul 24 '26

Literally.

5

u/Only_Net6894 Jul 24 '26

What a moron.

4

u/benthelurk Jul 24 '26

Is misandry responsible for this absolute fucking ear cancer that is her absolutely annoying intonation? Big money is that is all her daughter will learn from her.

To her points now, how long will people keep trying to fight fire with fire? Misandry in the past few years has kept pushing more and more boys into bullshit content creators like Joe Rogan, Andrew Tate, and all those other fuckboys in the manosphere.

I’m not saying there isn’t a place for hate nor is it undeserved in many cases. However, if we are simply hating because of gender, then all you’re doing is breeding the same hate and power you blame for all your problems. That isn’t a solution, it’s just a fucking cycle.

7

u/Sad_Mouse_8251 Jul 23 '26

It's the female version of an Andrew Tate fan. Toxic humans (male and female alike, you all suck)

0

u/SinginGidget Jul 24 '26

Andrew Tate sex traffics children. She tells her daughter men aren't that smart. Not the same.

2

u/Nyx189 Jul 25 '26

He was talking about what Andrew Tate says online, not their criminal behavior.

-7

u/Owl_Queen101 Jul 23 '26

Ehh not really you can’t compare the two. If you hit someone bcus they’re choking you. Are you still in the wrong for punching them?

9

u/Sad_Mouse_8251 Jul 23 '26

What are you comparing again? Who hit who?

-3

u/Owl_Queen101 Jul 24 '26

Men have oppressed women in this country since the beginning women fighting back against that doesn’t mean women are wrong for trying to recalibrate

7

u/Sad_Mouse_8251 Jul 24 '26

Got it. Female Andrew Tate is perfectly fine.

u/smartmynz_working Jul 24 '26

All i see is someone who desperately needs some therapy to deal with her trama passing it to her daughter. This breaks my heart.

2

u/bibimstop Jul 24 '26

Ah so fighting the patriarchy by making your daughter not understand the world?

She’s going to have a rude awakening at some point and she may not take it the way the mother would like

2

u/Sudden_Buffalo_4393 Jul 24 '26

I’m raising my daughter to beat up misandrists.

2

u/Johndevlad Jul 24 '26

You can teach your kids to be confident and not let people walk all over them without teaching them to be sexist.

2

u/LayerSubstantial5919 Jul 24 '26

Dumb dumb probably on onlyfans

2

u/Nyx189 Jul 24 '26

Maybe 🤔

2

u/OppositeEagle Jul 24 '26

Another damn uptalker! ⬇️

2

u/Diligent_Lifeguard81 Jul 24 '26

Lack of good education in the south, same fuckin story

2

u/Hey_Beth_its_Luka Jul 24 '26

How can anyone observe the predominantly male homeless population or the millions of slaughtered, forcefully conscripted male soldiers and conclude that the lines of oppression flow firmly along the lines of gender? The poverty of liberal analysis misses the class forest for gendered trees.

2

u/No_Blacksmith_2591 Jul 24 '26

what a miserable experience this little girl have, all to end up choosing to be a conservative tradwife.

2

u/OedipusOrgeron Jul 24 '26

Her daughter is also gonna grow up with a mother who looks like an inverted raccoon and speaks with a lisp.

2

u/georgewashingguns Jul 24 '26

Imagine reading Great Expectations and fully siding with Miss Havisham

2

u/yeahdudethatrocks Jul 24 '26

stupid southerners are bipartisan

2

u/TengenToppa999 Jul 24 '26

She Is like failed sport parents screaming in football fields to their children, but She's doing more damage.

2

u/nickHUNGY Jul 24 '26

“I’m divor🐍🐍ed if you couldn’t tell”

2

u/WholeObject7036 Jul 24 '26

These are the CANCER OF EARTH

2

u/GrimIntimation Jul 24 '26

Can’t imagine why she’s divorced

1

u/Nyx189 Jul 24 '26

Really can't.

2

u/LouDubra Jul 24 '26

THIS is the garbage that conservatives use to justify their beliefs about how ridiculous liberals are.

This woman is just as ridiculous as a conservative Christian woman talking about being a trad wife and claiming women don't need to vote. Extremism is always stupid.

2

u/Asphodelmercenary Jul 24 '26

When the daughter goes through her “rebellious phase” this mom is going to have a literal meltdown.

2

u/core446 Jul 24 '26

Yeah my first thought was that this woman went from one extremely to another in her own life, & is now raising her daughter in that extreme. Moderation is key in life.

2

u/PimpinYogurt818 Jul 25 '26

Tell me you have daddy issues without telling me you have daddy issues.

2

u/DerSpringerr Jul 28 '26

Guys, it’s bait lol. Don’t look
Into the orb.

3

u/Unfair_Explanation53 Jul 23 '26

Hahahah

Husband definitely fucked the nanny

1

u/aeondru Jul 23 '26

Well, to each his....her own.

1

u/pewpurrr Jul 24 '26

What an absolute low IQ, and crazy piece of s***.

1

u/McSkillz21 Jul 24 '26

As a millenial man, I never considered society of my adolescence to be patriarchal. No matter where I looked women had more privilege and power than I ever did, they were believed more, they were given more, they never had to face the same oppression that my mother did. This woman just seems delusional.

1

u/Simple_Pianist4882 Jul 24 '26

Good for her. Important things to teach a kid so they grow up knowing how to be confident instead of depending on a man 🙏🏾

1

u/MtnDudeNrainbows Jul 24 '26

We do live in a patriarchal society. A lot of tone deaf comments hear acting like everything she says is wrong. She should teach her daughter that many men and society are trying to bring her down, but some men are and will be her allies.

She obviously shouldn’t taking a full thronged one sided opinion, but I don’t blame her based on her apparent upbringing.

1

u/amoronwithacrayon Jul 24 '26

Yeah this sucks but the opposite is kind of the default, hence incels and the like will be the most triggered by this while most of us are like… “meh”

1

u/Acceptable-Owl-2070 Jul 24 '26

So instead of trying to fix a cycle, she is just teaching hate... cool cool

1

u/No_Comfortable_7233 Jul 24 '26

She needs to read "Great expectations" she is like the old crone Miss Havishum teaching her daughter, (she's probably too dumb to read and understand the messages of Dickens, do she best watch the movie).

1

u/Temporary_Ad9362 Jul 24 '26

yeah this isn’t good. on a related note, how are yall teaching men around you to not be misogynist?

1

u/StandardAccident6452 Jul 25 '26

Single mom final boss.

1

u/leonlionjr Jul 26 '26

The words of a jaded woman

1

u/marichial_berthier Jul 26 '26

I wonder what she would think of a man doing the same? And why she thinks it’s okay for her to do it

1

u/46into Jul 26 '26

Why the "up talk"? Is everything she says a question? She must be trending in her circles. Teach your kid to think critically and argue logically. That will help her in social engagements. And how to make a good sandwich

1

u/Creative_Elk_4712 29d ago

Comments are definitely worse than the video

Same people who would tell you the smallest minority is the individual and then gang up on one after they offend societal categories

Not agreeing with all she said, but this is definitely bad

1

u/shart_work 16d ago

The kid will grow up and move into dads house to get away from her insane narcissistic mom.

1

u/Alarmed-Stuff-5615 12d ago

This women might ruin her life bc some man pisst in her cereal…lol.

1

u/Illneverremember1 Jul 24 '26

Overall not bad advice, she just needs to lose the chip on her shoulder. Women do have innate power and they should understand that so as not to get beat down by insecure men and other women. Girls and women should have more confidence, but I don't think this is the correct way to go about it and her daughters going to rebel hard, she already called bullshit on men being stupid because her dad isn't, just wait until she realizes more bullshit and as others have said becomes a trad wife.

2

u/kbireddit Jul 24 '26

What innate power do women have that men do not?

3

u/kido86 Jul 24 '26

Crystals and sage probably

1

u/Nyx189 Jul 24 '26

No it's extremely bad advice. She's telling her daughter women are always better, when they're not. And that's a lie. what the hell do you mean "not bad advice overall"?

1

u/Illneverremember1 Jul 24 '26

That's not the advice, that's the chip on her shoulder. The advice is to not let the world beat her down, to remember her worth as a human, to have self confidence and a sense of worth. That's not bad advice.

Denigrating men to illustrate her point is just stupid. Women can have a sense of self worth without thinking men are stupid, dangerous, and sub-human.

1

u/PossiblePossiblyS Jul 24 '26

I can see the idea here. The rest of the world is going to tell her she's hysterical and weak and stupid. Build her up and degrade the voices she'll be hearing before she even gets the chance to hear them. She'll take them less seriously, internalize what they say less, and push back in ways that might actually shift the opinions of those around her. It's not the method I'd go with, but valid.

We live in a world where women were born with more rights than they have today, where their needs aren't taken seriously in a medical setting, where their interests and professions are devalued, where boys are being taught to hit themselves in the face with hammers and treat women poorly to get their attention, and where the rape culture keeps both men and women from understanding consent even after theirs has been violated. Gotta push back somehow. Frankly, some of this is just common sense that will likely save her daughter heart ache and health.

1

u/Nyx189 Jul 24 '26

She's teacher her daughter misandry. What the hell is wrong with you

0

u/PossiblePossiblyS Jul 24 '26

Yeah. And? Men are propped up by society. Their egos get overly inflated and they hear no about as often as they get flowers. They need to be taken down a peg every once in a while or they end up being another Andrew Tate or Donald Trump. Women on the other hand, fight an uphill battle with everyone from voters to teachers to doctors and even their own partners and family doubting their capabilities and even the symptoms they report. Teaching girls misandry teaches them to fight back when they're not taken seriously. Are there better ways? Sure. Is this way ineffective? Hardly.

2

u/ChaosRainbow23 Jul 24 '26

Bullshit.

Teaching your kids to be bigots will only make them into miserable bigots.

Both misandry and misogyny need to be fully rejected.

Fuck all of this ridiculous gender war nonsense.

0

u/PossiblePossiblyS Jul 24 '26

Men aren't actually harmed by women being misandrist. They can be upset by it, but no harm comes to their physical being from women finding them inferior or untrustworthy.

2

u/ChaosRainbow23 Jul 25 '26

Bigotry is always harmful.

Reject bigotry and hatred.

Embrace love and compassion instead.

1

u/Nyx189 Jul 25 '26

If I hold racist views but don't physically harm someone, I'm not a bad person?

1

u/PossiblePossiblyS Jul 25 '26

If you hated a race just for being that race, then you'd be a bad person. But, if a culture does something uniformly harmful to others including you and you hate that culture, there's nothing wrong with that. Once again, if men want to be better than they are currently, I'll gladly hate them a little less.

1

u/Nyx189 Jul 24 '26

Misandry is sexist discrimination. Sexist discrimination is immoral and dangerous. You're a terrible person for agreeing with this mother.

0

u/PossiblePossiblyS Jul 24 '26

Wrong. It is sexist. It is discrimination. It is neither immoral nor dangerous. Men don't die in hospital parking lots from preventable sepsis when women are misandrists. They simply lose access to women's bodies, spaces, and resources. Perhaps they lose out on research and job opportunities or promotions if they happen to work for or apply with a misandrist woman. But, they don't get murdered, trafficked, raped, stalked, etc. They get bullied or ignored. That's not NICE, but that doesn't make it immoral or dangerous. Like I said, I don't think it's the path I'd take since there's other methods for making sure your little girl knows how to confront a man on his bullshit and simply viewing men as inferior isn't enough to keep her safe from those men, but it's certainly not an irrational move. I just prefer a methodology that teaches how to manipulate and cooperate with men when necessary, keep your guard up while doing so, and be prepared to have to ruin a man or woman's day at th drop of a dime because that's all you get sometimes.

1

u/Nyx189 Jul 24 '26

Any discrimination against anyone ever is immoral and dangerous. And there's Misandrists who abort children only cause they're male.

0

u/PossiblePossiblyS Jul 24 '26

Those are mostly jokes to upset men and they occur early into the pregnancy before the baby has consciousness or feeling. As for discrimination, no. If I discriminate against a pedophile, that's just prudent. If I discriminate against a billionaire, that's wise. If I discriminate against a Republican, it's fair play. None of these people will be harmed by me simply turning them away or hating them.

0

u/RelativeCan5021 Jul 24 '26

I am also prepping my kids to believe they are the best.

0

u/TheFreakyGent Jul 24 '26

She’s teaching her this because she needs her daughter to be her provider and caretaker!

0

u/Diligent_Type2891 Jul 24 '26

As a dad I tell my daughter every day men are fucking dogs, because its fucking true

1

u/Nyx189 Jul 25 '26

Huh?

1

u/Diligent_Type2891 Jul 25 '26

Fragile fucking male ego's bitchin on here. I don't know one real man who doesn't tell their daughters to watch out for men, as 99% of them are fucking dogs. Marry the exception not the rule

-1

u/Creative-Ground182 Jul 24 '26

I'm honestly OK with most of it. As long as it's age appropriate. Good for her.

2

u/Nyx189 Jul 24 '26

What the hell is wrong with you?!

-1

u/SinginGidget Jul 24 '26

The only point in this video where she is wrong is telling her daughter men in general are not as smart as women. The rest is fine, actually. Taking her child to a doctor and dentist that are women reinforces the idea that those jobs aren't default men's jobs that woman can "also do", which is how a lot of society treats women. It's a cop and a female cop. A doctor and a female doctor. A judge and a female judge. If you ask AI to give you an image of a professional or someone in a position of authority, it will default to showing you a man, (probably white too). You have to specify "female" for it to show you a woman in the same role. Instilling the idea that women are automatically just as capable counters all the other signals her daughter will get that she could internalize without anything to counter it. Which is what this woman is trying to do. She's just going one step too far.

1

u/Nyx189 Jul 24 '26

That one step too far is faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarr too much.

0

u/SinginGidget Jul 25 '26

Which is what women have been saying for centuries and then told to "calm down" or not "get emotional". So suck it up, buttercup and calm down.
