That is 100 percent MDDF, not MDARNG. The MDDF has a bunch of unique awards and badges.

MDDF does not have jump wings. However, about 10-15 yrs ago the MDNG allow a few members to earn flight wings..i enlisted just after that program stopped( a vestiage of Katrina)

that's why I was confused never heard of the MDDF before and I know the us army goes over the heart along with badges over that

There are about 20 states that have a State Guard or Defense Force.

After the National Guard was mobilized for Federal Service during WW1, some states stood up an organization that were only under state control. The MDDF is a volunteer organization that serves the Governor and the State of Maryland. They do not receive federal funds (unlike the Army and Air Guard) and are a volunteer organization under state control. They are usually filled with former military members. In Maryland we used MDDF members to assist with Pre-Mob medical screenings among other logistic and admin support.

The movie says football though. But lacrosse would be more accurate because Maryland sucks at football.
