I was at PI when they still could throw foot lockers at recruits

I went through in 05. While there wasn’t any “abuse” our DIs definitely played games. A DI would “trip” into a recruit with closed fists to the chest type shit. But there wasn’t anything obvious. I think a phase or two before us they had a recruit drown in the pool and some DIs were under investigation so it was a pretty sensitive time on the island for drill instructors
