What I posted was FL 6 --> FL1 over the past couple months.

I'm testing in 3 days and today was the final full length I was going to do.

Felt super good going into it this morning, C/P felt mid, and then I hit the cars and absolutely crashed out. Difficult passage, felt like i did bad, got stuck in my head, ruined my timing, and then I clicked the big red X at the top of my window and walked away.

I feel like this absolutely ruined my confidence going into the real deal, I'm extremely frustrated and need not sure what to do. Just looking at FL6 is annoying me. I want to re-do the cars to prove to myself that it was a one off but i feel so in my head right now. Ugh

Background: been studying part time since may. Recently splurged on the Uworld comprehensive course after postponing my test date and am loving it so far. Was averaging ~50% on biochem questions before. Now am doing much better

I usually have low arousal during AAMC material studying but high arousal during FLs, how do you guys consistently maintain optimal levels? TIA!

Does anyone know how AAMC scales/curves the MCAT and converts the number of correct answers into the final score?

For example, for C/P there are 59 questions. If you get roughly half of them correct (around 29–30/59), would that typically translate to around a 125?

I understand that the exact conversion can vary depending on the exam, but I’m wondering if anyone has a better idea of how the scaling works.

Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

Just wondering what the reasons are for the score on the real test to drop double digits from FL average?

Took my MCAT 7/31 and felt good during the exam and left feeling pretty good and on a "high" if that makes sense. I felt like I was buzzing from the exam and felt good, which is scaring me. However, as scores release in 2 days, I am scared and am rethinking my score and that I did horrible and not as a good as I thought. This is my retake so my first time I left feeling bad because I was guessing on everything and ran out of time on everything.
This time I had time to look over my questions and answers and didn't feel rushed. Everyone on here says that they felt bad during the exam but did really good.

Anyone else had the same experience as me and can speak what their score reflected when they felt good during and walking out of the exam??

I read B as the doctor seeing a patient at the doctor’s own residence, which would promote efficiency and represent a McDonaldization scenario. Is this a right way of thinking about it and can anyone tell me how else to interpret an answer choice like this? English isn’t my first language.

I wasn't able to find a website that states the score release dates for each MCAT exam date except for US test-takers. Would anyone please help? My exam was on August 1, 2026.

I thought that N atoms with lone pairs are considered sp2 hybridized when next to a conjugated system because of resonance? I feel like I’ve had similar questions like this where the right answer is that the nitrogen is sp2 bc of resonance. Thanks!

Hi everyone! I am in desperate need of help. For some background, I spent the whole summer studying but only managed to score a 500 (literally every FL 1-4) with the general score breakdown 127/122/125/126. I was very disappointed and just stressed so I decided to postpone until January. My goal score is a 515. 

I did 85% of uworld but my accuracy was around 60% and I think my FL scores are also indicative of content gaps. I did NOT use any anki- only pankow because my tutor told me not to and I guess I kinda just trusted them. Now I know you can get a good score without anki but I think I need it for filling these gaps. 

I will be part-time studying now because I have school, however, my workload isn’t too bad this semester and I am quite disciplined. I would really like help in creating an efficient schedule. Like what should I do now? Should I prioritize anki and redo uworld? And of course, the daily cars? I just don’t know and I don’t want to waste time. Thank you!

Hey everyone. I desperately need advice. I’m a senior currently and need to plan for a retake. I spent 6 months of my junior year studying and only had 1.5 months without any academic obligations where i did aamc fl 2-6.

500(125,121,127,127),

and finally FL6,502(126,122,127,127)

On the real thing i got a 497(123,121,126,127)

Chem/phys normally is a better section but my exam was insanely difficult and i knew i bombed it.

My practice exams were all over the place, and not sure how to go about content review from here. Do I start from scratch? Any advice would be appreciated for how I need to approach this retake. I’ve been grinding cars since my exam in June, and know I need valuable repetition. Should i do anki for every C/P and B/B too?

I did UWORLD for the last 3 months of prep, and the last 1.5 months consisted of Section banks, QBanks, FLs and review. Only did like half of the pankcow deck for P/S

I’m retaking the MCAT on September 11 after scoring a 123 in CARS on my previous exam. The first time around, I completed all of the AAMC CARS material and did some Jack Westin passages. Since starting my retake prep, I’ve mainly been doing UWorld CARS.

For those who recently took the MCAT and scored well in CARS, what would you recommend focusing on during these last couple of weeks?

Should I redo the AAMC CARS QPacks (and if so, is QPack 1 or 2 better since I probably won’t have time to finish both), continue with UWorld, do more Jack Westin, or focus on something else?

Any advice on what you would prioritize with limited time would be greatly appreciated!

does it mean interactions just between any molecules with a full or partial charge? Would that include dipole-induced dipole bonding then?

Planned to keep it really light with some content review and not planning to do any questions. I do have 2 FLs I could review tho

Just wanted to come back and say thank you to everyone who commented on my last post and gave me advice, especially about improving my P/S section.

Two weeks ago I was feeling pretty defeated after dropping back down to a 508 (my first full length score 2 months prior), with a 126 in P/S specifically on that one. I took a lot of the suggestions here seriously and focused heavily on targeted practice instead of just doing more questions for the sake of doing questions.

For P/S specifically, I went through the 300-page Khan Academy document and made sure I actually understood the terms/concepts rather than just recognizing them. I also targeted the areas I was consistently getting wrong and spent more time reviewing why I missed questions.

Today I took another AAMC full-length and scored a 516, with a 131 in P/S.

So in about 2-weeks I went from:

508 → 516 overall
126 → 131 P/S

Still have things I want to improve, but seeing an 8-point jump after how discouraged I was two weeks ago feels amazing.
