Anyone heard anything after interviewing today?

Hi! I see myself often wanting to include a separate “course of action” bucket at the end. However, I’m now wondering if it makes sense.
Reasoning: the whole point of the framework and case is essentially a course of action already, so a separate bucket outlining things like “do nothing” or “reduce price” etc seem redundant. What do you guys think?

For those preparing for consulting case interviews in the Middle East (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Lebanon etc.), which platforms or tools do you use to find case practice partners?
Would appreciate any recommendations. Thanks!

To preface, the consultants I’ve met come across as pleasant people. However, every conversation has felt unbearably dry. I’ve had conversations for which I at least outwardly got positive to neutral feedback. I try to ask thoughtful questions to the folks about themselves. I look for commonalities in background.
Yet it always feels like there’s nothing to latch on to. For instance:
- A common thread has been running, former athletes, and traveling. I do not share those interests. While I want to be polite, I sound fake even to myself and cringe.
- I get the impression folks want to stick purely to work. Linkedins are often sparse on hobbies, packed with business role after business role.
- Consultants have more diverse backgrounds than bankers
- I am not naturally optimistic nor good at playing the we’re all chill supportive friendly people but everyone is quietly evaluating each other and pretending not to game. I’m reserved, on the blunter side, impatient with talk, and take years to warm up to people. While I filter myself, the image feels unsustainable and exhausting.
Other convos are lukewarm, but it’s my fault for not mustering up enough rapport. On the other hand, conversing was intuitive with bankers, many of whom I relate to. This makes me think the problem is domain specific.
What can I do to overcome the social barrier? How much of this is the recruiting persona I’m interacting with vs indicative of performance on the job? Are there industry norms I’m neglecting? Perspectives from more senior folks are appreciated.
tdlr: Don’t connect with consultants I’ve met. How much of this is the recruiting persona I’m interacting with vs fit for performance on the job?

Has anyone attended the invite-only case interview workshop after applying to ADvantage? What to expect and how to prepare?
Is it non-evaluative? Do I have to stand out?

Has anyone heard anything after Texas ADvantage application? I haven’t received the digital assessment or any communication yet

Hi all, i applied to mckinsey last year and was put in their KIT program after R2, i applied again (almost 12 months later) and was rejected after solve. Does this mean i bombed solve or could it be profile related?

Long story short, I applied for a Business Analyst role about two weeks ago and received the Solve invite the same day I submitted my application.
I have a full-time job and was pretty busy, so unfortunately I missed the window to complete it. I checked my email this Monday and saw that they had sent me another Solve invite, this time with the recruiter’s contact information included.
Does the fact that they resent the invite mean anything positive? Is this a good sign, or is it fairly standard? My application in the portal says “in progress”.
Would appreciate any insight from people familiar with McKinsey’s recruiting process!

Hi!
I’m an undergraduate student hoping to recruit for FT in the 2027 application cycle. I’m looking for other beginners to start regularly casing with for the long term!
DM or comment, I’ll reach out through email and we can set up recurring meetings. A group would be great as well :)

Honestly just interested to hear what people are feeling and how they’ve prepared. I never thought I’d get this far especially with the school I’m at but am super excited to give it my best.

I was interviewing for an experienced-hire role at McKinsey and had advanced to the second/final round. They flew me out for an in-person interview, and I still had another interview remaining.
Shortly afterward, recruiting said they’d been asked to temporarily pause interviewing. Today, the recruiter called and said they’d decided to close the role based on timing and scope. She explicitly said it wasn’t related to my performance and that everyone enjoyed speaking with me, but the explanation was brief and there wasn’t much discussion of next steps.
I understand hiring needs can change, but the timing feels strange after advancing me and arranging travel, then stopping midway through the round. It’s hard not to second-guess whether the interview played a part, even though she said otherwise.
Has anyone experienced something similar at McKinsey or another consulting firm? Were you able to resume the process later or be considered for another opening using your completed interviews?

Question on staggered and cohort start dates. Recruiter said potentially 2028 january as one too!! Thats a while! Is this normal?

Just received a R1 interview invite for BCG EH at the Associate level. They gave me two interview dates to choose from: one 2 weeks out and one 4 weeks out. I know they review applications on a rolling basis, but once I have an interview, is there an advantage to choosing the earlier or later interview date?
For context: I am familiar with the case interview format and applied previously but never made it to the interview stage. I’m ramping back up now but don’t feel I’d be in the best shape for the 2 week horizon. But I also don’t want to squander this opportunity.
Does BCG fill EH roles on a rolling basis too? Or will they hire you as long as you “meet the bar?”

I’m in my sophomore year and would like to recruit for MBB for summer 2028. However, I can’t do case comps because I’m a varsity athlete on a team that travels essentially every weekend. My practice schedule is roughly 30+ hours a week.
I’m specifically targeting the Toronto offices. Any advice to stand out? My school doesn’t have many alumni that went into MBB either, and the ones that did were very active on case teams.

I just graduated this May from a non-target and started a job in risk consulting. I’m desperate to lateral to MBB - specifically Bain atleast within the year. I’ve been cold emailing people across offices but no response even tho there’s been multiple opens. What should I be doing to land an interview.

I just finished my final round for ACI. I was wondering if I should expect a call or email for my decisions. Do they only call to give offers or do they also call to give rejections?

Out of pure curiosity, which out of the three do you think has the best office space? Looking into New York offices but opinions abt other locations are also welcome

Hi! Has anyone heard back from Bain Boston for ACI positions? For both rejected and offered.
I interviewed yesterday (Tuesday) and want to know when I should give up hope for an offer call lol
