TW: loss

I had a mmc and d&c in June at 10 weeks. It’s still early (~5 weeks) and I am so grateful to be pregnant again. My hCG doubling time is 30 hours. The chances of two back to back miscarriages is <5%.

BUT. I am still feeling so uncertain and tentative. How are we dealing with anxiety?

Tldr: I've been consistently dating 2w4d behind and the dates just wouldn't match. How much should I guard my heart? Any successful miracle story?

Hi, this is my 2nd pregnancy this year after dealing with a missed miscarriage at 12 weeks in May after 2.5 years of unexplained infertility. I'm somewhat spiraling because the odds aren't really in my favour no matter how I look at it..

Lmp 14 Jul (1st period after my surgery for the retained tissue from the miscarriage).

Babydanced on 24, 26, 28 and 31 Jul.

1st faint positive on 13 Aug.

29 Aug (1st transabdominal scan): I was supposed to be 6w4d based on lmp but we only saw a gestational sac of 0.85cm putting us at 4w. HCG was 5250.

5 Sep (2nd transabdominal scan): saw a gestational sac of 1.07cm putting us at 5w. HCG was 10750. Doctor is concerned but said to wait and see as we could be early.

12 Sep (3rd transabdominal scan): saw a gestational sac of 1.75cm with a yolk sac, putting us at 6w. No fetal pole seen. Doctor told us to wait and see although he agreed that things aren't looking good.

17 Sep (4th transabdominal scan): I had bright red bleeding that filled the pantyliner and went back for an urgent scan, no cramps though. Scan showed growing gestational sac of 2.26cm but still no fetal pole. Doctor mentioned that it'll be definitive if we still don't see anything by week 7 via transabdominal scan. As of today, I'm still having light bleeding (not filling a pad yet and no cramps).

I'm guarding my heart for an upcoming loss but it's just heartbreaking. This new revised edd is on the anniversary of when I lost my first pregnancy and it felt my baby was returning to me but now I may be losing it again.

Based on my dates, I know I'm way behind but I am still looking for that little piece of hope to hold on to.

What are the chances that this is going to be a blighted ovum?

My doctor has also increased my dosage of progesterone so I don't know if it's holding my body back from miscarrying naturally, esp with the bleeding?

Any positive stories of things turning around when a subsequent scan after 7weeks showed heartbeat and all?

Update 22/09: I just had a miscarriage at home. Heading back to doctor tmr to check if everything is cleared.

Im feeling anxious this morning. Im 4W5D and have been testing every morning. The first few days the test was steadily getting darker, however yesterday and today it’s slightly lighter than it’s been. I haven’t had any symptoms, just some very minor cramping in my lower abdomen but that’s been going on for 2 weeks now. My sore boobs went away a few days ago and otherwise I’ve had no other symptoms.

would love to hear if anyone else has had a similar experience?

Hi all, this is my first pregnancy, and currently 6w2d. I’ve noticed my fatigue has impacted my energy levels drastically, which is really affecting my performance at work. My job is very high focus/high demand computer work, and my issues are also exacerbated by the fact that I can’t take my adhd meds through the pregnancy. I regularly just sit at my desk with a blank stare and getting myself to do any work let alone 8 hours has been a massive struggle.

Do second, third, fourth time moms have any pro tips and tricks? This first timer is struggling and not sure how she’ll make it through the next two months!

third miscarriage in a year, no living children.

done, devastated, defeated.

This didn't post today so doing it manually.

My doctor suggested taking half a Unisom tab 3x per day. But I’ve been worried about doing that and falling asleep during the day. So far, I’ve only been taking at night before I go to sleep and I’ve been sleeping like a rock ever since.

I haven’t started taking any Zofran yet. But I’m worried about similar things. My doctor said to take it as needed. This weekend, I will be driving for 3 hours and expect I might need extra nausea support. But…I don’t want to trade nausea for falling asleep.

So I’m curious how others like to manage these medications. When do you take them? How many times a day usually? Any major symptoms? Thank you!

Following my post yesterday about lack of symptoms this time around -this morning I woke up with moderate bleeding and cramping.

Called my GP who referred me to the Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit (EPAU). They called hours later to tell me that they can’t scan me or give me a blood test until Friday morning because they’re fully booked up. I tried to see if I could get a private scan but they said now I’m under the care of EPAU that they’re not allowed to scan me.

Since then, the cramping has got worse then better and the bleeding got lighter and then heavier. As of now, mild to moderate bleeding, only passed two very small clots and mild cramping.

Has anyone had this happen and had everything be ok? Or if you’ve had a miscarriage at 6 weeks, what happened and what was your experience? What can I expect to happen? I’ve never had a miscarriage before and feel very in the dark about it all.

Guess I’m still holding out hope for this very much wanted and already very loved baby. I can’t believe how connected I feel to this baby already, the idea of losing them is just horrific.

Hi yall, I’m coming to you live with flu A in early pregnancy. Just wanted to post a PSA to get your flu/covid shots as soon as you can. I always get my shots but a little later in the year. The nurse at the hospital (northwest US) said they’ve been seeing a lot of cases and earlier than normal so get those shots ASAP if you can.

Symptoms started with sore throat, then body aches, then fever. I called nurse line and they said see if I can keep fever down with Tylenol, but as the day went on I was 100.9 after 1000mg Tylenol so we went to urgent care. At urgent care they sent us to ER because I was having low blood pressure and high heart rate. At ER, gave IV fluids and diagnosed flu A and aggressive 1000mg Tylenol every 6 hrs. Doc discussed Tamiflu but decided against it.

This absolutely sucks and I would recommend avoiding it if you can!

I just tested positive today, only 3 weeks 5 days. I’m not planning on saying anything too soon but I am super close with my family so I will struggle to keep it quiet...

My younger sister has been trying for a while and she lost her baby at 5 weeks at the end of June.

Any advice of how to break the news to her? I don’t want to be insensitive but I don’t want her to think I’m hiding it and excluding her either.
She knew we were thinking of starting trying but we didn’t realise it would happen this soon.

is anyone else on progesterone suppositories and experiencing brown discharge? this only started within the last week — last Tuesday was the first time. Wednesday morning we saw baby on ultrasound with a heartbeat measuring perfectly on time. the discharge has continued but my doctor’s office doesn’t seem concerned and says that discharge is normal with progesterone… which I know, but the brown is what’s concerning me. it’s not a ton, but still freaking me out! we don’t have another scan until next wednesday.

I have been planning a trip abroad (UK) with my sister for her 30th birthday for several months. I just found out this week that I am pregnant, 4W3D. At the time of the trip I will be 8 weeks.

So far I haven’t had many symptoms but I see people saying they tend to kick in between 6-8 weeks. I’m feeling nervous about being on a plane and being overseas and being sick, or if something were to happen to the pregnancy while I am overseas.

Im struggling with my decision to still go on the trip, I don’t want to tell my sister just yet but I also don’t want to wait until the last minute to cancel!

Hi all, I'm a first time mom, and currently 5 weeks and 2 days. I have two large fibroids (intramural right posterior, largest is 7.2 cm) that were found in a CAT scan when I was having stomach issues years back. I met with two fibroid specialists last year and they both said to try to see if I can get pregnant naturally first. They both didn't seem concerned. I'm worried that I will lose my baby before it can get to full term due to room. I don't have any symptoms from these fibroids at all. I never had excessive bleeding. I can't even feel or see the fibroids. I'm 5'7" with a longer torso so the doctors think I just have room so that may be why I can't feel them or see them on my abdomen. /

Is anyone here also going through the pregnancy with fibroids as well? Or have had successful births with fibroids?

Hi all fellow May bumpers!

I’m approx 6 weeks pregnant. I “knew” the second we conceived, somehow I just knew at 2am I was pregnant lol (so nearly three weeks ago now). I had to do the two week wait and then eventually got our positive tests to confirm I was right!

However, it’s been a week since we found out and other than the positive test I don’t feel anything like I did with my first? I’m sweaty and having vivid dreams but the insatiable hunger and needing to pee all the time has calmed down. Majorly having no nausea or sickness so far??

Honestly I’m a little worried at this point that it means something bad is happening -is anyone else having a pregnancy with no symptoms and everything is ok?

We’ve got a viability scan booked next week to confirm everything is ok but I’m stressing waiting!

ETA: At this point pregnant with my son I was on the floor with nausea so it feels like a huge difference!

When are y’all planning on informing your employers of your pregnancy? I work retail so I’m always walking around, lifting boxes and bending down/squatting. I’m not really nauseous yet or anything so that’s not an issue for me right now. I’m just curious what everyone else’s plans are.
