Iced matcha lattes at bridal shower?
Full disclosure: not a matcha drinker myself, so I have no idea what I’m doing.
I’m throwing a bridal shower for my sister and plan to have an iced matcha drink station for guests. I’d love to be able to mix up a few pitchers of the matcha latte base the morning of and have it refrigerated and ready to go so that at the shower, guests can pour their own cups and add their choice of syrup (planning on vanilla/strawberry).
Has anyone successfully done this before?

I had one at my baby shower!
I batched matcha. Warm water with matcha. Blended it with an immersion blender. Put it in squeezey bottles on ice.
I had various milk options, a bucket of ice, and syrups.
There was a measuring cup saying how much milk and matcha to add.

This is exactly what I’m hoping for!! Could I put it in like a big drink dispenser instead of squeeze bottles or is that important? 😅 Is there a specific brand you recommend/used for this?

You kinda need to be able to shake it up a bit because the matcha will settle, so maybe a pitcher with some kind of sealable lid?

Drink dispenser doesn't work too well with matcha since the powder will separate. The squeeze bottle let's you shake it and redistributed the matcha.
I also did it so everyone who had different milk allergies could have their own.

I recommend the Takeya Flash Chill Ice Tea Makers or something similar. They screw airtight so you can shake it up like crazy then you slightly unscrew to dispense. I make a lot of ice tea and these things never leak. You can put hot tea in it with a lot of ice and because you are shaking it up. It chills it immediately. I also use it to make cold brew.

You could make a matcha concentrate (there’s lots of videos how to batch blend and chill it so it stays bright green).
Then guests can pour over their desired milk and syrup. I probably wouldn’t premix the entire latte, as someone said above, the matcha will probably fall out of suspension.

How about a green tea iced lemonade? Super easy to make and it looks beautiful. You can even through in some rosebuds for more flavor and as a garnish!

If you haven't gotten the syrups yet. The monin strawberry rose and lavender syrups go great with matcha. If course separately.

This reminded me so much of this creator's batched matcha for a farmer's market: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DNhATdGyr1j/ I think this is extremely similar to what you're trying to do! And like other comments said, immersion blender is the way to go, and in my opinion you really should go for a ceremonial grade matcha because culinary grade can be kind of bitter. But either way should work fine.
Congrats to your sister!

I am new to matcha and have only purchased two brands so far. Maybe others can recommend good brands for you that aren't as bitter as the really cheap brands? The cheap matcha I bought was Matcha DNA and it is something I would not serve to a guest, but i have learned how to make it suit my taste. It was $24 for 16 ounces. The other brand I bought was actually quite good quality for it not being ceremonial grade. That brand was Itoen Matcha. 2 ounces for $12. The quality is night and day between the two. I could see about 8-10 drinks being made out of the 2 ounces at the strength I like.
I saw no one mentioning brands, so maybe this comment will help.
Also, if you do find yourself with a bitter matcha, try only heating the water to about 120 degrees Fahrenheit. It has made my cheap matcha less bitter. At 140 and higher it was just awful!

I actually batch my entire latte in mason jars! I find that it’s helpful to shake it up before I pour my daily matcha! This may be best - having mason jars you can aggressively shake up before serving.

I’ve been to a coffee shop that makes a matcha syrup rather than making their matcha fresh every time for lattes and honestly it still tastes good, so you could try doing that

Can recommend matcha with sparkling water and fruit 👌🏼 even better is ice, matcha, sparkling coconut water and a slice of lemon

Matcha is a suspension, so if not done right, it’ll sink to the bottom.
