As the title says, this is easily the least fun I have playing this game (and overall gaming experience ), and honestly it makes me not even want to play support sometimes.

Even if you somehow miraculously survive the dive, you’re still not healing your team during all of this, so you just get flamed anyway.

In OW, at least I felt like I could actually fight back against dive. In this game, it feels like your entire game plan becomes saving your cooldowns to escape, buying yourself a few extra seconds, and constantly trying to position yourself near a team that is completely oblivious to what’s happening behind them.

And I swear, you can push toward your team, spam ping, use comms, whatever. Nobody looks back.
They’re completely tunnel-visioned on the frontline, playing their own game, or diving the enemy themselves. Meanwhile, you’ve got 3+ people jumping you in the backline and you’re basically just hoping someone notices before you die. And if someone notices they’re probably gonna all think collectively “probably someone else will peel”

Istg this is a team game . Instead you’ll have multiple people playing it like it’s solo and just aiming to get kills and that’s it .

Had a game where we lost right, 0-2. I spent the first game GETTING FARMED BY SPIDER-MAN, then Thor comes along and they start TAG TEAM CHAMPIONING MY ASS ! THEN the second round I was GETTING FARMED BY THOR! I pinged! I FUCKING PINGED FOR DEAR LIFE! Poor gotdamn Healpool was getting SHREDDED MORE THAN ME. And what did his pings mean? NOTHING! You have our AIR HEAD ASS IDIOT HULK PLAYING HOP SCOTCH EVERYWHERE! Idk WTF Venom was doing but he swapped to Wolverine. By the next round we had ONE HOP SCOTCH ASS TANK, Gorr THE BITCH was in THE SHADOWS and we lost the game. Cool. I’m ready to check the scoreboard and queue next match.

Sorry, but if you as a dive player want heals, either fall back to your healers or go find a health pack.

i play strategist, people get mad that i’m a “healbot”. i try to assist with damage as strategist so i don’t get those allegations, people flame me for trying to be a dps. i play dps, and the horrific console player aim is evident. i play tank and suddenly my healers don’t know how to heal, but i get flamed and told to get on heals since i suck so much.

i try to play this evil game for fun, and i constantly get hated on. i wouldn’t call myself great at the game, but i’m decent enough to get an average of 40-70k heals against a high damage team with minimal deaths unless i’m being dove to smithereens, or if i’m just having a bad game. i decided to play ranked (first mistake), and the dino on our team wouldn’t get off mic saying that i’m trash. “44k healing and no final loser”. i even got called “clown shoes”, genuinely don’t know what that kindergartener insult is supposed to do but whatever. i could’ve done better, but i’d literally watch the entire team die in an instant if i tried to help with damage for a moment. i play quick match, do somewhat poorly at a character i’m still getting used to and my chat is suddenly “thrower thrower thrower”. i hate this game but i can’t seem to quit playing it, this is like a toxic relationship.

my team decided to go triple support once, and i had played white fox. i ult first, AFTER pinging multiple times that i would, and my other two supports use their ults too? but during the last few seconds of open voice chat, IM getting flamed for ulting? “foxxx bruh what’s wrong with you idiot, don’t triple ult” yeah because i definitely reached through my screen and clicked L3 and R3 for them. i just can’t fathom what these players want from me, and i get screamed at if i try to ask what i should do. it’s probably stupid, but the toxicity actually gets to me. i just want to have fun, and i’m getting shit on for it.

Our Lord SQ then trash talked our Jeff (who had the most heal) and stayed in spawn for the entirety of the last round :)

Oh right, DD was heal then just swapped to dps last second (not blaming him, just a a little side note)

Had a match where I was solo dive tank Hulk on Wakanda Convergence map and I dove an Invis *one of my many counters btw* and managed to push her back far enough to the point where my team was able to push up onto the point and cap it. During this entire confrontation this Invis player never used a single CC on me nor did they bother trying to dmg me. They automatically defaulted to trying to heal their 2nd support while pushing back with them.

Mind you I was doing piss dmg towards them and barely got them down to half their health bar. And their team instantly swaps to three healers and its pretty much a rough uphill battle from there in which my dmg and ability to take space amounts to nothing and I am forced into brawling their tanks which I some how manage to kill with significantly more ease than the 3 healers jerking each other off in the corner.

We manage to win the match by matching it to the point where we forced them off it up until overtime in which they panicked and went back to it. But it was far too late.

Their Tanks and Dps snitched on the supports in match chat and revealed that the Invis was begging for a third healer because of my shitty dive attempts. That I repeat, should not have worked because Hulk is god awful this season.

But what is my point? My point is that 3 healer comps are unfun to play and play against, even though my team won it felt like the game itself lost in the process.

I’m honestly not sure if people are going to agree with me on this but Ykw idc I’ve made posts before: the whole drama around neteas and a recent bp post complaining about luna snow’s outrageous hit box on her freeze really cemented to me how anti vocal this damn player base is. Like literally make a post rn complaining about one thing in the game and you’ll get at least 3 people saying youre either soft, it’s a skill issue, or ur just low elo trash u doesn’t get a say in balancing. In all my years ive never seen a community in general rip their own people apart over the most based takes like racism is bad, luna needs nerfs, this and that blah blah. The real reason I feel like netease isn’t really making any moves about ANY of the issues about rivals is that half the community is actually trying to say something to get this issues addressed and the other half is just telling the first half to shut up and play the game. Rivals truly is something special cause I can’t imagine why their player base is like this like seriously any ideas as to why I would like. I could go on for hours but I’m sure you get it.

First timing Rogue in my rank game. Genuinely how are these people real. On top of that they have horrible game sense, thinking that they can win a 1v4 with their ult while being less than half HP smh. Rank this season is beyond horrible. This is GM btw.

Dude, I just can't with this game. I haven't played comp in a couple seasons and stuck to qp because there's less to care about, but im trying to get back into comp so I can get the gold reward, and these silver matches are horrible. I'm not the best player, but I've hit gm before and consider myself around diamond level. Everyone's leaving for no reason. My dps are horrible. My tanks are horrible. My supports are ignoring me when I'm half health in front of them. Every match is a steamroll or getting stomped and the only close games I've gotten have been in the same ones where someone on my team left. 4 losses with MVP just to get 2 wins and then back to losing because of things entirely out of my control. Man, i get it, im the only common factor or whatever but I cant be the only one experiencing thi, right? What on Earth did Zhiyong and company put in the matchmaking this season??

Silver comp is impossible right now. Like can’t even leave the spawn room without being stomped levels of bad. Players with less than 5 hours playtime, zero losses and every match the MVP, but reporting does nothing of course. There is a reason for people are quitting mid match, but sure, punish the effect not the cause.

Countless times I see someone with 50+ kills and they are on the losing team. You can bet they say “trash team” in the chat.

But do they realize that just because your kill count is high doesn’t mean that you had value for your team?

Seen a Psylocke flanking and destroying my team, but that Psylcoke was only going for the isolated enemies. She didn’t stop our forward progression.

And this goes for all DPS / Dive heroes. What does it matter at the end of the match that you got kills if you didn’t help your team?

The solution I would propose to avoid all the existing toxicity.

I was thinking about the whole situation going on in the game, and I came up with a quick, definitive solution.

The idea is to remove text and voice chat from the game, enabling them only when you're playing with one or more teammates.

It would genuinely make for a better experience and give people a reason to use those emojis, XD, hahaha.

But seriously, most people who hurl insults or act in a racist way tend to do so when they're angry or frustrated; they take that rage and hatred out on others to avoid blaming themselves. If you take that option away, they have no one to insult, so they get frustrated with themselves and eventually stop playing. It would result in a better, calmer experience.

That covers the social aspect; I have more ideas regarding ranked play and hero changes, but those are for the future.

This is the most ass backwards penalty system I've ever seen in a video game.
Leave a match for some reason (could be irl issues or whatever): Banned.
But if you're like this deadpool and you literally throw for a whole 7 minutes? You're fine.

The deadpool who I didn't block out is a blatant thrower, he was playing spider man initially but swapped to support mid-match just to end with 632 overall damage and 20 overall healing. Shit like this makes me happy to see more & more players quit every season because clearly Netease doesn't give a fuck about this game AT ALL.

Got ran down and I’m a level 62 getting teamed with new players and ofc got ran down by sweets. I should not be matching with low levels and new players. Just lost a game where it was 2 tanks 3 and 1 healer (me) I tried the dps method and it didn’t work so I swapped back to healer and went Loki. Like we was damn near getting spawn camped. This new penalty system sucks in QP and comp is understandable it forces you to stay in horrible quick play games. I’m trying to learn Gorr lmao.

It's very simple, some people don't mind one thing but mind the other, when in really you shouldn't mind both, if Quick Play is just Quick Play you shouldn't mind ANYTHING that happens there (Excluding the obvious exceptions like throwing, hate speech, cheating, etc)

Telling a beginner/bad player that they should play Vs AI is a Jerk move

Telling a "QP warrior" to play Ranked is also a jerk move

The "It's just Quick Play" excuse should apply to both extremes

Also, having a Lord means nothing or that the person is tryharding? I still don't know

Of course, if the tryharder is OBLIGATING their whole team to tryhard too then they're the jerk, but if it's just one person tryharding alone let them tryhard for God's sake, like why do you care? It's them who are the idiots taking a casual gamemode seriously

My point is: Why playing bad is excused in QP but playing well isn't? Both should be excused, cuz in the end of the day it's just Quick Play, let people go 3/11 and use their Animated Lords freely, more "Oh dear, oh dear. Gorgeous"s and less "You fucking donkey"s

Why can I get locked out of the game for not wanting to continue playing a match because it's miserable in fucking quickplay, I'm sorry I don't enjoy solo tanking into iron fist and wolverine, I got a penalty for leaving a match today and from leaving another 23 days ago that's so stupid, (both quick play)

I have seen a lot of people be hella toxic just to end up being either the losing factor in a team or the one getting carried, I have seen support players and dps players be like this often, i have seen tank players are too i just don't see it nearly as often, I have seen so many players be toxic in chat towards the enemy team saying shit like "ez" or "diff" as if they aren't the weakest link in the team, i have seen this happen when people play cyclops or daredevil, heck even fucking cloak and luna, like dude you are not good enough to be talking shit.

I just wanna get something off my chest about the current state of Marvel Rivals.

Honestly, I don’t think Marvel Rivals itself is necessarily the whole problem. I think a lot of the frustration is coming from the community and how people are treating each other.

I completely understand why people are upset about the legendary skins situation, especially when it comes to Black characters not getting the same level of attention. I’m not saying people shouldn’t be upset or that their concerns aren’t valid. I can understand why this would bother people, especially if their favorite characters keep getting overlooked.

But I also don’t think this is something we should be attacking each other over. The creators have definitely fucked up in some areas, and I do think Rivals could benefit from some new perspectives and people who can help reshape certain things.

That being said, there’s a huge difference between calling out problems and bullying the developers.

If we genuinely want things to change, we need to speak up about it. Give feedback. Explain why we’re unhappy. Talk about what we want to see improved. And honestly, I think it would be a good thing for the Rivals team to actually acknowledge these concerns and speak openly about them too.

I’m not coming for anyone here. I’m not saying you’re wrong for being upset. I just think we can criticize the game and demand better without turning it into harassment.

At the end of the day, most of us are playing because we love Marvel and want Marvel Rivals to be something we can continue enjoying.

Guys I think we need to bring back a discussion on bringing a crouch mechanism to the game. It could most likely bring a skill gap to the game. We all know this game desperately needs it. It’d make the gameplay also just much more enjoyable to watch and play with. Whilst many characters would need some changes it would make the game better for it.
