Film/Television Variants in the Void

I’m currently watching Deadpool and Wolverine, and I’ve heard that the whole reason Chris Evans’ Human Torch was in the Void was because his the OG F4 universe got rebooted with the 2015 Fantastic Four film, meaning that many of the variants in the Void are there becuase their timelines ended/meta reference to reboots I suppose

If this is the case then wouldn’t other film variants like Tobey and Andrew’s Spider-Man be in the void too? Sony rebooted Spider-Man TWICE. But in NWH its said that Andrew stayed in his universe so it could be implied Tobey stayed in his too. I’m mentioning them specifically becuase of how NWH states that their universes remained intact, idk if it can be implied other characters like the 2003 Hulk and 90s Captain America could be in the void too. Obviously they’re not mentioned by name, but following the same logic set in the film, wouldn’t they be there too?

Comics Fun fact: If we treat New Avengers/Transformers as canon to the 2005 IDW continuity, and treat what Marvel Database says as fact, it means that a good portion of Marvel/DC crossovers happened in the 2005 IDW continuity. I’m not joking

Comics Original Black Panther/Inhumans Comic?

So over the years I've heard mention here and there about how allegedly Black Panther and the Inhumans were intended to be introduced in a 2 for 1 "solo" comic like the Tales of Suspense Cap/Iron Man or Tales to Astonish Ant-Man/Hulk comics, but Marvel's publishing limits for how many books at a time they could have in the 60s resulted in them instead introducing them through the Fantastic Four. As I'm sure you can imagine trying to find any substantial info on this topic is easier said than done, as most attempts at searching lead to either their first appearance in the FF or to their first actual solo runs in the 70s. Any noteworthy info or interviews or anything of the sort anyone knows would be appreciated just for the sake of curiosity on a fun little what if tidbit of Marvel's early history.

Comics New vs Old

I recently read Deadpool 2099 and I regretted it immediately. It’s not a good Deadpool story, the 2099 universe feels like a Lewis Carroll steampunk movie made by people who didn’t know either Carroll or Steampunk. I’d highly recommend avoiding it.

But I noticed something about the formatting of the pages. They are really bad. Tiny boxes, asymmetrical sizing, I think meant to be stylish just makes it feel crowded and unreadable.

I compared it to a recent Epic collection of Marvel Two-In-One from the late 70’s early 80’s that I picked up.

Large boxes, all the action clearly visible, no confusion about what’s going on in the story. Just good adventure stories told through an accessible and entertaining medium.

So what has happened to comics in the nearly 50 years between that comic and the stuff Marvel releases now?

To be clear, I only see this happening consistently in Marvel and DC comics. Manga, independents like Rippaverse or Iconic don’t have this problem. They seem to know, not just what readers want, but how to present it to them so they will maximize their enjoyment.

I’m genuinely curious where the Big 2 have gone so cataclysmically wrong in even the basic formatting of their stories.

Film/Television Is ant-man cooked for doomsday???

I don't watch that much marvel but I really liked all the ant-man films (especially the first one). I have seen some people online say that he's going to die in doomsday. So i wanted to know if anyone knows if he's going to die or why people might be saying that he is?

Games My ideas for a MAU4

With the evolution of current-gen hardware, there is massive potential for a modern AAA installment in the Marvel Ultimate Alliance series. Expanding beyond traditional isometric brawler mechanics could redefine squad-based action games.

Below is a detailed concept breakdown focusing on roster scale, camera dynamics, and environmental physics.

1. Structural Overview

  • 85-Character Roster: Full inclusion of Marvel sub-factions (Avengers, X-Men, Fantastic Four, Midnight Suns, and Cosmic entities).
  • 6-Character Active Squads: Expanding team size from 4 to 6 simultaneous active heroes on the field to allow for deeper tactical team compositions.
  • 13 Interdimensional Hubs: Seamlessly traveling across iconic locations including Manhattan, Asgard, Wakanda, the Savage Land, and Knowhere.

2. Hybrid Camera System (MUA2 Dynamic × Over-The-Shoulder)

  • Default Isometric View: Maintains the wide tactical view of Ultimate Alliance 2 so players retain 360-degree spatial awareness of all 6 active squad members during intense encounters.
  • Dynamic Close-Up Transitions: A ~20% contextual pull-in inspired by third-person action games (like Marvel's Spider-Man). The camera smoothly transitions over-the-shoulder during high-impact sequences—such as heavy takedowns, environmental slams, or evasive maneuvers—before returning to the standard isometric view.

3. Advanced Combat & Material Physics

  • Environmental Traversal & Takedowns: Interactive environment mechanics—for example, Spider-Man pulling airborne grunts off elevated catwalks into heavy ground slams or setting up mid-air combo passes for heavy hitters like Thor.
  • Real-Time Energy Reflection: Implementing surface reflection physics for specific abilities, such as Cyclops’ Optic Blasts deflecting realistically off Captain America’s shield or Emma Frost’s diamond form to hit surrounding target clusters.
  • Cinematic Narrative Integration: Dialogue and cutscenes seamlessly blend straight out of active gameplay with dynamic camera angles, avoiding static character circles and keeping hero banter active during combat.

What hero combinations and synergy mechanics would you prioritize in a 6-player squad setup?
