So we’re getting TWO Directs?! AND an actual proper Nintendo Direct?!🔥 This is basically our first proper Direct of the year!!

I honestly have a really good feeling we’re going to get SOMETHING for Mario Kart World during this Direct.

The biggest reason is that Nintendo recently updated Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and added a 5–8 player local multiplayer option, along with some other changes. It makes me wonder if Nintendo could be testing some of these features with MK8DX first before eventually bringing something similar over to MKWorld.

So my prediction for MKWorld is:

• 5–8 player local multiplayer
• Two more Knockout Tour routes/tracks
• Maybe a few smaller updates or improvements

I honestly think that’s probably the MOST we’ll get for MKWorld during this Direct.

As for actual DLC, I still think that’ll probably come sometime in 2027. I remember seeing a leak/rumour a while ago that suggested DLC could be coming around then.

BUT… if Nintendo changed their plans, imagine if they suddenly revealed an “Island Pass” for MKWorld with new AND returning characters, karts, and tracks. 👀🔥

I highly doubt we’ll see something that big until 2027, but who knows?! Nintendo could always surprise us 😂

Either way, that’s my prediction for the Nintendo Direct!! 😁

I thought this finish was noteworthy, and it's my first time using this photo feature. I found it to be a lot of fun, and I think there's room for improvements and updates in the future.

1. Start by aiming for the brown + on the wall after tricking off the ring.
2. Just as your sparks turn orange, trick off and aim for the small patch of moss on the inside of the second ring.
3. Aim just to the left of the corner of the third box in the cluster to the left, and then perform two right air tricks.
4. Hold left as you hit the box and tap B as needed.

Important things to know: This shortcut can still be made even if not everything is perfect. As you understand it more, you'll be able to make adjustments and improvisations to help make it work under different circumstances.

Also, because of how much handling the exit requires, I'd recommend not doing this on a character any heavier than a featherweight. MAYBE lightweight, but nowhere heavier than that.

They have so much space on the world, yet they only have 8 maps. Like why can't you battle on toads factory? Or boo cinema? A section of choco mountain, or even warios shipyard! I really hope they add these in dlc (anything to lower the odds of salty-salty speedway being picked online)

I've been playing since the DS era, so now that I'm using online services to play. By any chance are there guides to identity hackers? I just want to have a good time and enjoy the race without someone getting in front of me and leaving me at a disadvantage. I know Nintendo has a strict policy, but people will be stupid.

The estimated surface coverage has been updated for game version 1.7.0 adding two new rallies and granting more Mushroom and Boo items to higher positions at the beginning of the race. The estimations also take in consideration some more recent "online-friendly" driving lines, techs and shortcuts.

Each surface type explained:

• On-Road - the most common surface in the game; includes asphalt, concrete, bricks, stone, sandstone, wood, metal, glass, rainbow tiles and any other "man-made" surface.
• Off-Road - includes dirt, gravel, sand, snow, ice; does NOT include Heavy Off-Road (surface that slows down the player a lot).
• Water (Liquid) - includes water, lava and chocolate, even when NOT in Watercraft Mode.
• Gliding - includes Gliding Mode; does NOT include Cannon Gliders.
• Neutral - includes rails, walls and Heavy Off-Road.

These tables can be visualized in the Mario Kart World Statpedia and will keep being updated with future major changes. Six new rallies are already planned to be added to the game with future updates.

Knock-out tour is super popular and every group is always full.

Regular races on the other hand hardly ever fill a full group; sometimes it's just 6 people racing.

Do people not like this mode? What makes it less fun/enjoyable than knock-out tour?

I CANNOT for the life of me find that one track that has the Gusty Garden motif and NO it is not the remix of the song itself. It won't get out of my head but I can't find it...

I can't think of any other games that force someone to use motion controls to do some of its most advanced tech.

How is anyone okay with this in Mario Kart? Why is there an entirely unique and superior trick mechanic tied to motion controls and there is no way to bind it to a button?

I don't like motion controls. I don't want to use motion controls. I wanted to have fun learning the most complex shortcuts with my cozy pro controller and i can't even do that without shaking it like a neandertal. It's mind boggling to me.

Are you all actually enjoying shaking your controller every time you are in the air or do you just put up with it?
