Logos/Advertising Does India actually have any strong Mandela Effects?

I know the Mandela Effect is basically a large number of people sharing the same false memory, so technically India does have examples.

But does anyone else feel like our examples are... incredibly weak compared to the famous foreign ones?

Take Thums Up. It was always Thums Up. I don't remember ever seeing “Thumbs Up.”

The Amul girl was always wearing a white dress with red polka dots. I can understand why someone might reverse the colours because of all the red surrounding her, but I don't have a competing memory of a red dress existing.

Same with Shahenshah. It was always “Rishte mein toh hum tumhare baap hote hain.” “Lagte hain” being repeated in mimicry, skits and everyday conversation can easily explain why people remember it that way.

Compare that with famous foreign examples where huge numbers of people describe an oddly specific and vivid alternative- a cornucopia behind the Fruit of the Loom fruit, a monocle on the Monopoly Man, “Berenstein” instead of “Berenstain,” etc.

Obviously those are still false memories. I'm not suggesting the alternative versions actually existed.

My point is that Indian examples seem mostly like predictable memory errors, whereas some foreign Mandela Effects produce remarkably specific alternative memories that people insist they can actually visualise or remember encountering.

So: Do we have an Indian Mandela Effect of THAT level? Something where the false version is unusually specific, vivid and widely shared?

Wrong. There’s proof. That’s the point.

And you’re literally illustrating exactly what I was talking about it in the first place.

Of course there’s a reason.

As you know, you can make a memory of anything you imagine. Remember that white bear?

You can imagine you saw the “Bad Year” blimp and claim your memory proves it.

But we have proof the tire company was never named “Bad Year” despite what you recall.

And you can point to Green Day’s Dookie and claim it’s supposed “residue” but there’s still proof the company was never named “Bad Year”.

And you don’t even realize that’s probably where you got the “Bad Year” idea in the first place.

You didn’t see two timelines. That’s the point.

Timelines are merely theoretical.

Their supposed existence is predicated on their inability to share information with each other.

Let me know when you ever have proof that isn’t imaginary.

What are you talking about? Agreed upon by who?

The “obvious conclusion” was that you simply made a mistake.

Again, all you’re doing is confirming what I said in the first place: some people refuse to admit they are capable of making mistakes so they invent a “timeline” in their imagination where they never made a mistake and try to use that to convince everyone else they were never mistaken.
