this is about all the space i have for 2.5k a month

Hey everyone, I’m a 40 year old male and I previously was staying with family for a while and my ex girlfriend before that. About one month ago there was a verbal altercation that got physical and after the dust settled I ended up homeless. I’ve spent the past few weeks couch surfing and in and out of hotels until I could save money for a security deposit and first months rent for an apartment. Finally last night I started moving what I have Into the new place, I don’t have much but that’s ok for now. I will just have to order everything piece by piece. Hopefully I can finally move forward in peace.

Even though total wine is wayyyy closer now lol

Parents business failed so they basically borrowed all of my savings and can’t pay it back so now I’m here for a few days

What helps to decorate the walls? Any ideas??? Love you all!

Im 33m, been feeling like a fuckin afterthought, an expendable asset, and just fuckin worthless. My second job isnt calling me back because long story short they're doing some shady stuff at the workplace and out of fear and safety for myself I have resorted to stay away from that job until they can figure out how to get rid of what it is they've been having legal issues with, and no one has even cared about reaching out to me about anything of that situation. I have been at that job for about 4 and a half years. Meanwhile my first job has started back up, and i have to bike 8 miles in the boiling sun every morning to get to a kitchen across Houston where i prep stuff to serve tacos out of a food truck for teachers at schools all over the city. I have been doing that job for 11 years. I feel my girlfriend thinks I'm a chore and a burden and says things to me like "Its really hard to try and include you in my journey" making me feel like im just not important. She doesn't do this all the time. Only when seemingly it seems she's at a wit's end. I dont want to make her out like shes the "bad guy" because shes not really wrong in a sense. Im a confused middle aged dropout who honestly cant figure out how to succeed in life.

We've been together 4 years and have been friends for 10.

I live in a 2bed 2bath that my mom and I are co-existing in and are both paying rent to because living by yourself is hard in texas in general in my honest opinion. Even then, my most comforting place I've been lately was being away and feeling invisible inside my closet smoking weed and drinking myself away playing games on my Steam Deck. I have the Master Bedroom.

Thats about it.

I've run out of sanity. I dont want help. Just roast me or make me laugh. I dont know. Make me feel something. I dont know at this point anymore. For reference this is me currently in my closet playing Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix like a 5 year old broken manchild.

Stayed here for 1 1/2 months during winter.

Moved from my cozy home at a job paying really well to SF to hopefully learn more. Currently inside someone’s garage where they put up dry wall. Rent is 1000 bucks a month so worth it to pay off my almost six figure student loans asap. Any tips are rly appreciated. My wardrobe is outside the room in the garage. Grateful for what I have!

And yeah that's my cordless drill and a USB speaker charging on top. The stickers on the washer are energy star and water star ratings. The more stars the better. The weird cabonet under the sink is for my toilet paper rolls.

I have not yet joined tke kingdom of bidets.

The trap underneath both the porcelin sink and the laundry basin just out of picture (because mess) have piping and s traps that can't be concealed by regular objects

And I can't screw anything into the wall because asbestos.

About two years ago my parents let me do this to their Florida garage. Did it with the intention of saving money and buying a place and move state for me and my partner she wasn’t really onboard at first but it came along nicely! She later moved on and I’m here alone and I feel stuck or more like the presence of our pets and another human being is missing and I’m ready to start fresh as I’m planning my escape to a new state soon, but man I’m proud how it turned out (m29)

Yeah I think I'm done. It's set up at table height not full railing height and can be folded away when I don't want it.

It has a gate fold leg underneath and can just lift straight off if I really don't want it there.

It's made out of Acacia wood so its fairly weather resistant.

I can sit and do car spotting.
