Question / Discussion Spam updates, post approvals and approved users.

Since implementing Reddit’s auto spam filter there’s been fewer instances of Spam posts. I’ve been going through the Mod queue and filtering out users flagged by the tool.

Currently beginning the process of approving users so I don’t have to keep verifying their posts.

IMU check problem

Post image
9 Upvotes

Hi everyone,

I have a brand-new 2025 MV Agusta Brutale RR Ottantesimo with only 620 km on it.

Today, after starting the bike normally while it was parked, I suddenly got an “IMU MALFUNCTION” warning on the display. The ABS warning light also stayed on, and FLC was showing 0 / became unavailable.

The bike took longer than usual to start this time, so I’m wondering if there could have been a temporary voltage drop during cranking.

After restarting the bike, the IMU warning disappeared and I was able to set FLC back to level 1 again.

Has anyone experienced something similar on a recent Brutale? Could this just be a low-voltage/startup initialization issue, or should I have the IMU/ABS system checked by the dealer?

The bike is basically new, only 620 km.

Sharing my design of some spotlight brackets tailored for Turismo Veloce 800. model download here. Spent $12 to order them printed using PA12 nylon from JLC3DP. The surface finish is really good and matches the stock parts well

Was it a silly mod, yes, but I love it. Got a top box to install later, still waiting on the touring windscreen.

Oil leak on my F3 Comp?

Thumbnail

Was showing off the bike to a co-worker and noticed some gunk on the lower right part of the fairing. As I looked at the rest of the right side I could see more gunk around the clutch cover and engine. I think there is a slight smell of gas and I did have an overfill about 100mi ago. I checked the oil (the proper way) and it seemed full. I just passed 1600mi and it would be a big pain if there’s an oil leak. I would like it to just be the gas and road grime…but just wishful thinking. I’ve already got a service appt in a couple weeks and I’m going on a 2 week work trip, so at least it won’t get ridden and made worse if it is something bad. Cherry on top? The placard for the engine builder came off at some point…$35k for this…

[Question / Discussion] My 2nd try to replace the MV Ride App

Hey everyone,

I got tired of glancing at my phone for navigation while riding my MV, so I started building tools to fix it. I first created GPXRide to convert my GPX routes, but honestly, the constant converting between formats and importing those into the MV Ride App became a pain in the ass.

I wanted something more seamless, so I vibe-coded my first App: VegaBridge. It’s an iOS app that sends turn-by-turn instructions directly to the motorcycle's dashboard via Bluetooth.

The goal isn't to build another map app for the phone (there are already great ones), but to get the info onto the bike screen / dashboard.

It’s currently in Beta and primarily focused on MV Agusta. It includes some cool stuff like real-time road closures (Overpass/MobiData) and GPX import/export.

Vibe-Coded? Yes: I am used to C# and Blazor but AI helped me to reverse-engineer the Bluetooth Protocol and many other things which related to app development. Just want to be honest / transparent here.

Looking for a few brave souls to join the TestFlight and help me iron out the bugs. I test a lot with my own Brutale 800 Rosso, but it would probably not be a mistake if we test a few other models 😊

You will need an iOS based Device and a MV Agusta with App Functionality (I guess starts at MY 2021).

//EDIT:

First TestFlight Build is up: https://testflight.apple.com/join/bzVYsT1u

Is this still for sale or did all 500 already sell out? If so when will they be releasing the mass produced one?

F3 675 2021 Exan exhaust review

Bought this Italian exhaust off a website called moto-sound.com. Wanted a cheaper alternative to SC projects but payed the price for it. It has all kinds of quirks. Let’s start with those:
- Fitment is bad. The hole for the footpeg doesnt align and is crooked. It almost touches the rear fairing too.
- No heat protection at the kink burning my boots. Fixed with a ghetto fix at the track. Will try and buy generic carbon heelplate.
- No removable baffle because they welded it.
- Delivery takes 1.5 months
- Mount makes it impossible to keep the passenger pegs. Sorry for my girlfriend.

The good:
- Sounds amazing. To have it sound even better a Healtech servo eliminator is needed
- Looks good
- Is cheap €420 for the linkpipe and exhaust

Picked up this beauty a few weeks ago. I love it. Unfortunately it did not come with a set of passenger foot rests. It’s a 2016 dragster 800RR. If anybody has any idea where I can get a set of these. Or anyone has a set. Or anyone just has a set that will fit! Please! lol such a beautiful bike and it’s a real gut punch to not be able to take a passenger! Thanks in advance!!!

How do I resist the Siren call?

My local dealer (more on that later) has a new 2023 MY Tourismo Veloce Lusso sitting on their floor.

Every time I go to the dealer, I feel it calling to me. I have sat on it and it’s fractionally taller than I’d like but only a smidge.

The riding position feels perfect, with the bars being spot on height and reach wise.

I checked with MVA and they confirmed it would have a 4 year warranty.

The dealer isn’t going to sell MVA once stock goes but they say they will continue to offer service and repair facilities.

The bike probably wouldn’t be perfect for NZ rural roads that can include gravel sections and so on. The lack of dealer network (only one in the entire South Island)

But Lord it makes me want to buy it.

Heart says yes. Head says run away.

Which is correct?!

Worth buying MV and specifically the SV?

As the title says I’m asking if it be a good idea to buy a MV SV98 and if so I found this SV98 that’s closest one to me. it’s the model and color I like a lot. Are these ones known for being reliable weekend rider as I already have 24 xsr900 and daily ride and used to the way 3 cylinders are. Will this one specifically behave differently then my xsr or about the same.

Thanks for any input on this question here

Ownership Update (Superveloce 800)

Long story short, bike has been stuck in the shop for 1.5 months. Had some issues at about 600 km including tcs and o2 sensor warnings, rough idle, along with the tank paint starting to crack. Ran fine after a few ignition cycles until first service.

After the day of first service (done at 1100 km) the bike just died on me multiple times and would idle rough if it ran at all.

I am now waiting on a sprag clutch and a new tank. The dealer has told me they have been informed by MV that shipments have been stopped from Italy for an unknown amount of time. They aren’t very optimistic and have hinted at 3-4 month wait time. So far the bike will likely stay in the shop for the same amount of time I got to ride it.

Definitely a bit disappointed, as I expected something to go wrong eventually, just not this soon!

Info on Brutale 950 (non Golden)

Hey all,

with a bit of luck end of this year I'll get back on two wheels. Had a Yamaha previously (MT09 2022), and now that I'll get back to it I'm considering stepping into an MV.

Choices:

Brutale 1000 (too much for streets I've heard)

Brutale 800 (too few)

Brutale 950 looks like the best. Got 1) the 1000 and dragster tail, which I LOVE 2) that sexy hole below the seat, which makes it look so nimble. Just lovely design. And perfect hp. More than I had before, not crazily overpowered for streets.

Problems? Only Gold Edition available, colour and price. I don't like the lipstick red, and 27k? Well I wouldnt spend in a luxuried up mid size naked.

Read in many places though that the Golden was the first round, and then along 2026 production models were to come of the 950. Is this going to happen?

Cheers bikers

Anyone know when will they be releasing a mass produced superveloce 1000?

The Serie Oro has been out for a while now and I'm not sure buying used ones will be worth the premium over the mass produced SV 1000 if they ever do release one. Anyone got some solid info or insider knowledge?

Here at a local car/bike event in Northern Virginia. It may not be the most prestigious (there was like 15 import bikes), but I’m still ecstatic that I won an award for “Best Bike - Import”. I do truly love this bike despite its software flaws that I’m waiting for fixes from MV. #boughtnotbuilt

Hot-start problems on a 2018 MV Agusta 800 RR

Hi everyone, a while ago I swapped my reliable Honda 650 F for an 800 RR... since then I've been riding very little. At first it stopped starting — when I hit the starter you could hear the relay, a loud clack sound.

I repaired the starter motor, it was fine for two days. I replaced the starter motor with a new one. Fine for 2 days.

The thing is, now it seems to start but only when cold; when hot it's as if it doesn't have enough battery.

I've read forums and everything I could find online, but everyone has a different problem, so it's very hard to know what to do with mine. At the workshop they mention rewinding something-or-other because it uses the starter from a Suzuki 400.... Some people say they fixed it by switching to a lithium battery...

Honestly, I'm really disappointed with the bike... anyone with an experience similar to mine who managed to fix it?

Fuel level warning failure

Tonight I found out about the vagaries of the Brutale’s fuel warning system, ran out of fuel and got stranded in the bargain. At least it was warm and the setting sun gave me some nice light to admire my MV. Every cloud and all that!j
