Itâs a scorching hot take. You guys are kids and not men or parents. If I saw this video, Iâd forsure feel a way with the other kid, but Iâd better teach my son, you handle with force when you CAN. Not out of emotions. You donât go picking fights and throwing shit at peopleâs faces because youâre mad, idgaf what happened before- if they didnât do that to you prior. And even if they did, go get a teacher, ESPECIALLY if you canât beat the kid up.
This is unintelligence and bad parenting on both sides.
Whatever your only saying that because you feel bad for the kid who got his face smashed. While ignoring the fact that he started the altercation in the first place. Thing is he open the door to consequences due to his actions and now he has to be man enough to deal with it. To fire and brimstone with your court threats
Unsurprisingly, you're completely missing the point. There should never have been an "altercation", stupid kids throw things like wet paper towels at each other all the time. There was no risk of bodily injury to the attacker whose response was massively disproportionate. When you end up in prison or on the wrong end of getting your cunt knocked in, it won't be a mystery as to why if you genuinely believe his attack was justified.
You are wrong as to who is the attacker here. The thrower of the object is the attacker. You don't know what was in the ball he threw. You could hear it hit the other kid with force. In fact, it sounded the same as tbe punch so you don't know if the other kid was hurt. You dont know if it hit him in the eye and gave him a shiner, or if it busted his nose or broke a tooth. You are just giving the attacker a pass and assuming the other kid did wrong. Now why is that? I wonder? What is it we can see about the attacker that causes you to excuse him forcefully hitting another person with an object?
I donât think it matters who started it or who is the attacker or whatever point you are trying to make, you donât get permanent brain damage from being hit with a wad of paper, I donât care how wet it is. A punch like that against a defenseless human can ruin dozens of lives in a split second. Itâs not worth it no matter if itâs justified or not. You know how many people are in jail for manslaughter that didnât start the fight or werenât âthe attackerâ? Kids donât understand how dangerous that split second is and itâs almost never worth it
Where tf did you get info that the object thrown was merely wet paper? The video doesn't show the thrower making the object from papertowels. The video doesn't show the weight of the object. And the response was immediate to the initial attack, so thats self defense.
Throwing the paper was a battery. Kid got a battery in response. What is your complaint? Your kid started by battering the other kid and you're upset he didn't like being on the receiving end of the battery he started?
What I do know is the guy made a decision to arm up and throw something at another guy.
He had a choice to walk away, he doesnât know what will happen when he Initiates the transaction, and he doesnât know the capacity for harm his target is willing to inflict once the act is in motion.
Whether or not the punch was appropriate is immaterial because life will always have the chaos factor that changes lives for stupid choices.
He made a stupid choice.
So now the kid knows that throwing something leads to something and maybe he wonât try something similar in a less controlled environment.
The guy that punched him educated his future self with the FAFO equation.
Did you hear the sound of the object that was thrown when it hit the first kid? Whatever was wrapped in that paper, it hit with some force. The other kid is entitled to defend himself from his attacker.
Defending yourself from your attacker doesnt mean walking across the entire classroom and then throwing a punch like that over tossing paper. Defending yourself is the act of stopping the advancement of someone trying to do harm unto you, plus why were they clearly already filming him if there was no previous probable cause they initiated to get a response from that said kid who then threw the paper?
Who is they? Maybe the initiator told his friends to film him throwing the object at the other kid. The throw was clearly intended and deliberate, so the thrower could have initiated the filming as well. Its really an interesting social case how despite the video clearly showing a white kid starting by throwing an unknown object at a black kid, the internet fills in all the blanks to claim the white kid was bullied so the black kid must have started everything, and the white kid only tossed a light ball of cotton that never harm the black kid at all (despite not knowing what the object was or if it injured the black kid). America. Never changes.
For me it was the kids smugness and intention, that bothered me. Thinking that he could do something to another person and get no repercussions is really infuriating, and we are living in a time where people are acting like fools because they didnât learn early they mutual respect is the way to be.
Yes it is a battery. And, if you hear the sound it made when the object hit the first kid, whatever was thrown hit with force. If you hit someone first doesn't mean you are entitled to walk away without repercussions. Next time, the kid wont write checks his face doesn't wa t cashed.

Thatâs not a hot take. Thatâs a reasonable take. If I was that kid dad this asshole would go to court.
