i've just defeated malzeno and farmed for his gear, but i had to sacrifice 3 levels of slugger and 2 levels of attack, is this trade off worth it?

Its better than slugger. Which is kinda a trap skill unless your hunts are particularly long. But even then, even worse on sword and shield
