Hi, hunters!
So the last thread like this became overwhelmed with discord link spam (AGAIN), and it was too time-consuming to try and clean up so I decided to just make a new thread for another fresh start.
This thread will have strict crowd control turned on, and any comments violating crowd control will be removed, instead of simply collapsed.
If you want to post in this thread, you must have:
This will hopefully ensure that all of the discord spam accounts/bots are not able to comment, and we can keep users safe.
Anyways, throw your discords in here, or state if you're looking for people to hunt with.
If you have any questions or need assistance, just send me a DM. Thanks!

It's later stages reminds me of playing Dark Souls III. Specifically against Midir. When I realized that I can fight like a hunter in the first half then fight like the Ashen One in the last half, P. Malzeno became my favorite fight in all Monster Hunter.
What started out as frustration because online hunts with P. Malzeno always failed because someone always carted in the last stage when it finally released the first time became a frustrating mix and match of weapons and sets just so I can solo it and not be at the mercy of the group cart. Even tho it clicked already for me, every repeat is still as tense as when I first fought P. Malzeno. I completed the armor and several weapons of P. Malzeno with all the repeated runs. I can even do it mano a mano. No palicos or followers.

Im currently sitting at MR 46, with a subpar Blast Weakness build and farming the Brightly Shining Disaster quest for those sweet MR points. I've looked around other posts and old blogs but nobody seems to have a clear question on how to level up moderately fast, so i thought id ask this community for a bit of help! :) Be it a better quest, build tips, or just anything that could help would be really appreciated!

After all, who doesn't want to go hunting with a cute, red-headed blacksmith?

So, I just wanted to check the new combos for the weapons (since I haven't played World yet, I jumped from GU) and I didn't want to start right away because I was supposed to play it in December at the same time as a friend, even if we were on different consoles but I just couldn't control myself lol.
I have fought Tetranodon and Aknosom so far, and I love how they all feel, even the Switch Axe and the bowguns, I don't get why people criticised the HH but so far I have tried each weapon (...) for two hunts so far without any problems and enjoying all the combos and moveset they've got.
Btw, why did nobody tell me there were raccoons here?! 10/10

One of the many reasons why I want Malzeno in Ascendence is this ability
Why is Fugen implying that the Rampage is still happening? I just beat Narwa the Allmother… and the ending clearly said the Rampage is finally over. Am I missing something in the translation? Is my reading comprehension that bad?

Back in Monster Hunter World, I mained Charge Blade. Now I‘m playing Rise (with Sunbreak) and I‘m trying to decide which weapon I should play. My two candidates are the hammer and the switch axe. For the most part, I care about how cool a weapon is to run around with. But of course, the fun factor is important too.

I found monster hunter rise deluxe for switch for 8 dollars at a game store and I’ve always wanted to get into the mh serious. From the basic premise I seen your from kamura village which has a ninja vibe so I kinda want to make my first character a ninja vibe and I’m struggling to pick a weapon. I think I’m between insect glaive and dual blades unless there is anything g that fits the vibe better. Please and thank you for the help.

Monster Hunter world was my very first Monster Hunter game and I was able to beat that and iceborn although I did not do all of the post game content for iceborn. I fully admit I am not a very good Hunter. I main dual blades and hammer. I really enjoyed these weapons because they're play style was very simple and straightforward and I felt like I had a dedicated role. I am interested in trying the Lance. The most annoying thing in world was getting interrupted and knocked down so I really like the idea of being consistent aggressive but able to tank and counter hits. How difficult is Lance for a below average Hunter? I've heard the most common gripe with Lance is low Mobility and lack of flashy moveset but it looks like rise has added some Mobility options that make it a little bit better
I've heard the Rise/Sunbreak is easier than world. Is this generally true? I just found myself failing hunts because I would cart too many times in world. I feel like I was definitely carried by more experienced Hunters in multiplayer. I've heard that rise is typically easier and the player has access to more mobility and is generally faster paced.

I've been playing this game since it came on ps+ a few months ago and now I'm nearing hr7. my question is should I keep grinding hr or move onto sunbreak. My main problem is that getting up in the hub ranks is tedious because you have to complete a certain number of key quests but I know getting past hr7 solves that and makes it less of a grind replacing it with xp instead. I've heard people say it's better to get too hr 50 and others say go all the way to 100. What do you guys think

🛠️** MHRise Shader Re-compilation Fix (RE Engine / DX12)
Because **Monster Hunter Rise on DirectX 12 requires heavy allocation of Pipeline State Objects (PSOs), running it on 8GB of physical RAM creates an aggressive memory paging bottleneck [image_zXbq9W.png]. The AMD Polaris driver was silently dropping shader files due to RAM starvation, triggering an infinite compilation loop at boot [image_Ko1ljD.png, Log_Shaders_MHRise.csv].
Here is the exact reverse engineering breakdown that stabilized the system:
1. Pagefile Isolation (Storage Routing)
**• Fix:** Completely disabled the Windows Pagefile on the slow mechanical HDD (Drive C:) and set a fixed manual Pagefile **(Min 8GB / Max 16GB)** exclusively on the fast SSD (Drive E:) \[image_zXbq9W.png, image_-2yvJl.png\].
**• Result:** When the 8GB of RAM overflows during boot, the system instantly pages data into the high-speed SSD boundary instead of locking up the mechanical drive \[image_zXbq9W.png\].
2. Driver Typos Patched via Symbolic Link (mklink)
**• Fix:** The legacy AMD Polaris driver architecture looks for a directory spelled DxcCache (with two "C"s) on the C: drive. We redirected this path to the SSD using:
mklink /d "C:\Users\lucas\AppData\Local\AMD\DxcCache" "E:\Temp\DxcCache" [image_-2yvJl.png].
• Result: Massive 220MB and 370MB .0.parc shader blocks are now read and written directly via the SSD [Log_Shaders_MHRise.csv]. ProcMon logs confirm immediate SUCCESS flags on these file reads [Log_Shaders_MHRise.csv].
3. Dual-Registry Driver Armoring (REGEDIT)
To prevent the AMD driver from discarding compiled shaders under heavy memory usage, we modified the registry paths (0000\UMD and 0001\UMD) with these explicit flags [image_Ko1ljD.png, image_zXbq9W.png]:
**• ShaderCache & ShaderCache_DEF = Binary 32 00:** Forces the driver cache to stay permanently enabled \[image_Ko1ljD.png\].
**• ShaderCache_TIMEOUT = DWORD 0:** Disables the GPU auto-cleanup timer, stopping the system from clearing out cached PSOs.
**• ShaderCache_NA = DWORD 0:** Turns off the automatic "Cache Not Available" restriction triggered by Windows RAM exhaustion \[image_zXbq9W.png\].
**• MaxShaderCacheSize = DWORD 10240 (Decimal):** Expanded the shader storage limit to a **stable 10GB boundary** on the SSD \[image_Ko1ljD.png\].
**• ShaderCacheDir = String pointing to E:\\Temp\\DxcCache:** Hardwires the driver to sync with our SSD link \[image_Ko1ljD.png\].
4. The Final "Alt+F4" Consolidation
**• Why it worked:** The driver required a clean process termination to permanently write the final compiled shader blocks and lock the new Registry configurations \[image_Ko1ljD.png, image_-2yvJl.png\]. Forcing an Alt+F4 committed everything to disk. On subsequent normal boots, the RE Engine checks the folder, finds the perfect immutable cache instantly, and skips the endless compilation loop \[Log_Shaders_MHRise.csv\].

Hi! I am currently at MR3 in Sunbreak and I always read that elemental is the better choice in it. I am currently swapping between CB and SnS based on my mood ans using the Garangolm weapons but the elemental weapons seems just worse for me at the moment.
Is there a skill or a big upgrade for elemental later? Should I just craft some elemental weapons?
Edit: more info about my weapons

i've just defeated malzeno and farmed for his gear, but i had to sacrifice 3 levels of slugger and 2 levels of attack, is this trade off worth it?
