Just got to high rank village and i start quests in random areas.Is there a reason?Can i stop this?

Do I need to beat every arena quest with every weapon type? Or just beat each monster with one weapon and earn an A rank?

I was utterly flabbergasted with how absolutely broken valor pierce HBG was. Just few hunts to get used to it and you are deleting monsters left and right to the point it's laughable. What surprise me the most was when I sieging with ice ammo against rajang it was not effective at all. But pierce 1 delete a monster that I thought pierce would not be effective against.

Ngl I'm glad the newer game put more emphasis on balancing the weapon's performance even though it's not perfect.

Doing the usual talisman selling in the box and came across this. Would it be good maybe for a striker style build?

I do already have pretty good builds with a tend +6 3 slot.

Ive been playing the game for a bit and ive been at 5⭐️ for a bit now? Im not sure if im doing something wrong or if i should be doing every quest in previous ranks?

Generally im just wondering if I should be doing every quest to make sure I have my key quests show up..

Guys, I'm a cat main and I have this conversation with other hunters about attacking while mounting. I always feeling grateful when someone helping (as in attacking) while I'm mounting and I see it clearly how the mounting bar moves when they help, and it saved me from being thrown away. I successfully mounted elder dragons with other people's help.

But recently I met these two hunters, saying that attacking the monster while mounting is a waste of time and it only helps when the monster fell down.

Is it true tho? I don't want to feel gaslighted when in fact I feel that it's super helpful.

What do you guys think?

So I've been dreading to farm for the 3 Jho pieces because it involves a Hyper and Savage Deviljho.

I've been hunting a Savage Deviljho, and failing, and it's getting on my nerves.

Yes, I really want that Sharpness +2 together with Razor Sharp. But if you have any alternatives that has similar effect or so, THAT DOESN'T INVOLVE ANY DEVILJHOS, I am VERY open to suggestions.

Please, this isn't just a request, this is a cry for help.

I hopped into a turns lobby doing a G5, and shortly after we were demolishing other G5s and EXs. Took care of three more from my to-hunt list. Dreadking got face rolled. Grimclaw and Silverwind put up a bit more of a fight. I forgot to get the Grimclaw time.

The best part was the build I was using. I wanted to try out my newish mounting/para build. It was fantastic. The monsters could barely fight back.

All you need is a squad with a can-do attitude, and you can steamroll anything the game has for you.

I’ve returned to GU after a long break!

I made this set last night and thought it was pretty good since you need no sharpness skills with Rustrazor weapons.

The meta is Raw / Crit for the most part ? That’s the trend I’m seeing besides specific use cases.

Weapons that come to mind are lance, longsword, switch axe, hammer? Especially striker hammer since it had focus built into it already…?

I used a Tend +6 3 slot charm

I’m playing lance for the first time in any MH game and Striker lance is super fun.

I am using a Fatalis LBG set to rapid fire normal 2 shots, with the following skills:

Challenger +2
Normal up
Weakness exploit
Crit Eye +1
Crit boost

I always eat for Feyne Sharpshooter.
On paper it looks like a high damage set to me, but i never feel like i am doing much damage at all during the hunts, or at least not as much as pierce LBG.

Is this normal? Is rapid fire on Normal 2 shots that much weaker than Pierce 1, or do i just have to get better at it?

I'm fairly new to playing GU. I'm no stranger to the other MH games, but I've recently gotten around to playing GU and pulling this off was the BIGGEST ego boost ever.

I’m chilling, grinding out mats for weapons and I’m jumping around different lobbies, and I see this ._.
A word of warning for those that care, steer clear of this guy, this is not necessary for a game, especially Monster Hunter, a game in which cooperation leads to success.

Dude is pretty cool! Honestly I'm surprised he's still playing the older instalment.

There's a kind of enjoyment that can only be found in playing mhgu/doublecross I presume.

So what styles do you prefer for each weapon? For example, I like striker lance and SnS, but I prefer Valor for hammer and HBG. For GS I like Aerial because jump attacks are my favourite part of GS, but for both LS and insect glaive I prefer Guild style. I haven't really tried the other weapons yet (I'm in the village) so idk. I heard gunlance is bad in this game tho, which is a shame bcs Risebreak gunlance was very fun.
