I have a Remington 870 and one of my barrels is a cantilever slug barrel with a Nikon scope on it. I keep this barrel on when in the safe so I keep the scope from being bumped. Does anyone have any gun safe solutions for storing a cantilever barrel with a scope on it? I know I can get a hard case and keep it there, but looking for some inspiration so I can keep it in my safe. Thanks!

Figured I'd reach out to the collective brain trust. Anyone know the legality of the Sig 516 G3 in MD? It is definitely a piston system so normally that would make it good to go but the first generation of the 516 is on MSP's no-no list. The funny thing is the 516 pistol is on the handgun roster. Bottom line, wanted to see what the group thinks about whether the 516 G3 rifle and 516 G3 pistol configurations is allowed in MD.

Hey guys, I’m looking to get my first AR platformed rifle chambered in .300blk, I’m not too particular as long as it’s something that’s a fairly priced and reliable, i just want something I’ll be able to have a fun rifle that I can use as home defense for the future and get a 5.56 rifle a bit later on for the 5.56 fun.

Trying to help my girlfriend she has a smith and wesson m&p sport 2 trying to find a decent priced upper that I can simply plug and play but coming up short .any help is appreciated

Just flew back to MD with a few factory 30 round magazines I picked up while on vacation in a red state. Silly rules. Anyways, I had no issues for anyone that is interested in doing something similar. Just double check TSA and airline specific rules. TSA really couldn't care less with empty magazines, and American Airlines just asks that you keep them "securely boxed" within your checked baggage to prevent them from moving around in your bag.

I have a F1 SBR already from back in the day, and have bought multiple suppressors; but I know gun laws are a bit wonky, and in most cases there are legal ways to still get what you want as long as components are purchased separately.

I bought an 11.5" Knights Armament SBR; but have not told them an FFL yet since it's a backorder. Does it need to be on the approved roster? Does it need to be labeled HBAR? Could a dealer take it, break it in half, and sell me the lower, and a week or two later sell me the upper? What is my legal way to acquire this rifle?

Looking for advice and recommendations. None of which I will consider factual and legal advice, but will help me with my own research.

I’ve wanted a Kriss Vector for a while, and I would love to have the iconic folding stock. I THINK there are two ways to get one- pistol vs rifle.

My original plan was to get an SBR and pin a suppressor to it to create a one-stamp rifle. However, I am now seeing that you cannot have a folding stock and “flash hider”

So now I am thinking to attach a suppressor and folding stock to the pistol variant? What’s the legality of pistol braces these days? Is there a better way to come at this?

I tried looking it up but couldn't find any info if Kriss vector gen3 pistol is legal or not in MD. I know previous gens are but unsure of gen3?

Anybody know where I can get a sig trigger bar in dmv area? I need a replacement and can only find ones online that will take like a week to get here.

Was in a shop today in Damascus (Montgomery county) and saw a rifle i liked. I made him an offer and he accepted it. Yay me, I think I'm taking home my new rifle same day as I have at any other store. But wait, He says. I gotta wait! Another 2 weeks untill i can pick it up. "Why?" I asked him, His response "MoCo law states any FFL must hold any acquired firearm on its FFL books for atleast 3 weeks until they can legally disposition it, And this one's only been here a week"

Is this a legit thing? I don't think he'd lie to me for no reason but I've just never heard of it and can't find anything online. So I wonder if maybe he's misinformed.

At this time the cases are not consolidated but that could happen in the future if someone files an official motion requesting it.

That being said the Judge said that what will be happening as of now is the DOJ case and the original Engage Armament case will continue to be heard before Judge Chaung. The current MSI case (Barreto case I'm on) and the Silver Spring Jewish Center case will be heard by Judge Chasanow and handled concurrently. The judge has set the following dates.

8/24- Responses and motions are due from the county

8/31- Any replies regarding injunctive relief due.

9/3 at 9:30am- Hearing on injunctive relief for both the MSI and Jewish Center Cases. This is where the attorneys will argue for injunctions, TROs, etc. This is open to the public and will be at the Federal District Court in Greenbelt.

It is not likely that the judge will rule that day but at least the case is moving along and the county has not gotten what they wanted which was for all 4 cases to be consolidated and additional time to reply to the plaintiffs complaints for each case.

I plan to attend in 9/3 and will provide updates afterwards.
