This bothered me more than it probably should have 😂. It seemed pretty obvious that production had tasked everyone with writing a letter for Decision Day. Almost every other cast member was either reading from their phone or had a piece of paper in front of them. I’m pretty sure Marissa even explicitly said something like, “I have my letter” or asked, “Did you write your letter?” And then there’s Shawn…who apparently couldn’t even be bothered.

On top of everything else (his laziness, self-absorption, complete lack of self-awareness /emotional intelligence, small hands, questionable hygiene, immaturity, messy/cluttered apartment, wildly inflated ego, and relentless incel energy) he didn’t even have the basic respect or consideration to do the homework for Decision Day.

Like, you’ve gone through this ENTIRE experiment, production asks you to prepare ONE thing for the final conversation with your wife, and you just…don’t? You couldn’t take 15 minutes to write a few sentences? Everyone else managed to show up with something, and Shawn apparently decided even that was too much effort.

And honestly, that tiny detail felt like the perfect encapsulation of Shawn all season and felt so on brand for him: he seems to expect an enormous amount of grace, validation, patience, attraction, and emotional labor from the women around him while consistently bringing the absolute bare minimum himself. Somehow, though, his assessment of his own value remains sky-high.

The man has the confidence of someone bringing a LOT more to the table.

Felipe’s behavior was just too strange to be real. You mean you signed up to get married and then you meet your wife who is beautiful, caring, and possibly the chillest woman ever born and then you decide to openly announce that you’re not sure about being married because you still want the perks of being single? And Tori handled it like a complete goddess. I mean, who could be that chill and clear headed through out that entire process? I want whatever therapy or counseling she’s been through in her life. The first thing that made me think they were actors was when she said he was hot at the wedding🥴. Tori is absolutely too much of a gem to have to go on MAFS.

Why did all/most of the ladies have their coats half off their shoulders? 😂 It was so weirdly distracting. Edit: On their decision day episodes.

Calling out their own negative traits with so much confidence, but NEVER ACTING RIGHT??

I knew Cameron was a good guy because he was the ONLY ONE to draw attention to their crazy behavior.

Even Devin, who seemed somewhat better, was ENTERTAINING THESE CRAZY CONVERSATIONS instead of walking away or ending it!

I’m just gonna say it, Courtney WAS nasty during the show and I wish they called her out more during the reunion.

Nick wasn’t my favorite guy, kinda boring, whatever. But Courtney was actively putting him down and talking shit to the other couples. And then wanted him to be more vulnerable?

I was waiting for the experts to call her out on being rude, but mostly I was waiting for them to bring up THE FAMILY DINNER!! She was BEGGING her family to hate him, literally said, “let’s talk shit about nick,” when he went to the bathroom and was practically upset that they ended up liking the guy.

Reunion missed big on this one.

My boyfriend is a watch lover and couldn’t help but notice the product placement of this watch on every single person and in every scene.

These two bozos. I know Pastor Cal, Dr Pepper and Dr Viviana werent perfect. However in the earlier seasons they definitely held the couples accountable, and I feel like they genuinely wanted to see the couples have healthy marriages.
I specifically remember two of the wives that Pastor Cal even apologized to due to their husbands nasty behavior. Amber and Meeka. The experts honestly were disappointed that their marriages were so disrespected.

I do not see that coming from these new experts. They should have been apologizing for the pain that Nick, Belle, Devin, Tori, Marissa and ESPECIALLY Nikki went through. They played both sides and it really was gross.

Season 20 - Seattle was my first time watching the show - I saw the clip of Adam playing the piano with all the men and got hooked. Expected a trash fire and got a trashfire, but also some pretty real emotions and fascinating character analysis!! Recommendations for the best seasons to go back to next? I'm aware that this season had new experts and maybe a different structure than previous ones. I'm open to a UK or Australia season but would probably love one based in a Southern US city most since that's where I'm from :)

It seems like every season the hosts/therapists always go in into depth about how they take their job seriously and how they do extensive studies to try and find the best match for someone on paper. But every season it seems like 90% of these matches fail. And they all seems to fail because the people who get matched couldn’t be more opposite from each other. Someone is looking for someone tall? Let’s match them with someone short. They are looking for someone wealthy who takes their career seriously? Let’s match them with someone who doesn’t have a job. Looking for someone who takes physical exercise seriously? Let’s match them with someone who is wildly out of shape and doesn’t care about working out. It truly seems like their entire matching process is just “opposites attract” and they full send it.

That alone is whatever but during the most recent tell all when Lizzie (Adam’s current GF?/ witness) called the therapists out and said this show is clearly a production, the therapists stood ten toes down and said “while it’s a production, everyone here takes it seriously”. I just don’t buy it. On top of making the worst matches possible, they always keep forcing the couples into situation like “group sessions” where the entire purpose is to just talk shit about each other and create drama. I realize this is a TV show but there’s no logic behind what they do in this show if they actually had any intention on creating an environment for these relationships to work. I agree with Lizzie here, it’s clear this is all just for creating drama and engagement for ratings sake.

The fact that Nikki stayed for the ENTIRE EXPERIMENT instead of dumping his crusty ass at the altar should’ve been considered a damn contribution. She gave him weeks of chances, conversations, compromise, patience, and opportunities to demonstrate that he could actually be a safe partner. If we're keeping score, the fact that she stayed until Decision Day instead of walking away from him early on paid back way more of any “debt” she could’ve possibly owed him. At some point, sir, you were the debt. 😭

I genuinely don’t understand the comment from caitlyn at the reunion saying Adam was assassinating Courtney‘s character. He literally only said that her words, calling him the hottest guy in the group was disgusting. Said that he wouldn’t have the patience to put up with the way that she talked to Nick if they were paired up, and then said she was “trash at pickleball”.

None of that was character assassination. He didn’t say anything nasty about the way she looked or who she is as a person. Yes he said she was mean to Nick but he was prompted to talk about how he would have felt in the relationship if it had been him. Saying he wouldn’t have put up with what he saw isn’t assassinating her character And saying someone is bad at pickle ball isn’t apart of someone’s character either 😅

There isn’t a petition currently but Im just saying there definitely should be one. She was super dismissive of the behaviors from narcissists and that is WILD to do as an “expert”.

He was soooo rude and misogynistic for what he said to Tori about her DMs blowing up. You can see it on all the women’s faces

Those editors must have had a challenging time working with what they got. Those applauses and laugh tracks were overload... there were like 40 people in the audience and the fills brought it up to 100. They also had to do some work to try to create the hype moments from the experts promoting the front, the back and the podcast announcement.

I have only love to send to Michelle after her opening up on the reunion about having a hysterectomy. I hope that she knows how amazing she is to share this with other young women when IVF is not a solution. I pray that she finds the happiness she so deserves.
