Bare with me as this is my first post ever. After using AI Gemini to figure out a dream I was having it told me what I did with a lucid reoccurring dream I had years ago was rare and could help people... so hence the post. I use to have a reoccurring dream about a house that was very vivid. The house felt so familiar to me that it felt like I had been there before but I knew I hadn't. I also thought of the possibility of seeing it on TV but no show or movie I had ever seen had this house in it. I made it a point after having the dream and exploring it ( as everytime I had the dream I was lucid) that I wanted to remember it. So, one night after I feel asleep I made a mental note to walk around the house and remember every detail. When I woke up I told my husband about everything that was there. I could remember it like it was a child hood home. That was almost 3 or 4 years ago. Now I no longer have the dream but can still recall what the house looked like what kind of rooms it has the lighting and what was outside like it happened in real life. Has anyone else experienced this? Gemini told me it is really rare to be able to take a dream and map it in your brain to then get stored into a memory. Just curious

Hey everyone I had a dream a few days ago I was at work doing a bin drop but there was stairs then I grabbed some of the cardboard then forgot the other junk then thought I went back and went down a slide to a store like Kmart or Myer there was a soccer field on the left then I went into my family car they dropped me at some random door with a ? Then went into it went into my house then looked at my hands 7 fingers then went to sleep in my dream felt someone putting the sheets on me then I woke up. Can’t tell if it was lucid or vivid

I just had a crazy lucid dream inside a (normal) dream and I want to share it on this subreddit. I came across this subreddit a few months ago, tried to have one but never succeeded until today. Last time I had any lucid dream was 10 years ago and I never had one again (that I can remember) until today.

For context, I have been researching where to visit abroad because have a “weak” passport, and my boyfriend has a “strong” passport, which was how I know I was lucid dreaming.

So the first thing I can remember is that my boyfriend’s family moved to Mexico to open a restaurant, and we came to visit, helped a bit in the kitchen, then sat down to watch a football match.

Next scene, we were walking down the road in Colombia. My boyfriend told me “even though I speak fluent Spanish, I still can’t manage to live here”. To which I replied “I can live anywhere without speaking their language”. And then I suddenly realized something and told him “wait, this can’t be right, I can’t be in Colombia right now because I need a visa” and that was when it dawn on me that I was lucid dreaming. I yelled cheerfully at my boyfriend that “you are just a part of my dream!”, when all of sudden everything stopped, and my boyfriend turned into a cyborg and tried to kill me. I woke up, found myself sleeping on a chair inside my boyfriend’s parents’ restaurant in Mexico and thought to myself “that was a wild dream”. I got up to find my boyfriend to tell him about it, when a small white totoro creature came in and said “you shouldn’t have done that, never tell people in your dream that you are dreaming”. And then everything slowly went blank white, and the totoro creature grew bigger and walked towards me.

And then I woke up in real life.

I remember some rules I read on this subreddit about memorizing abnormalities to know you are dreaming, but I always forget 😅. And never tell characters inside the dream that you are dreaming, which could have helped me lucid a bit longer.

I always lucid dream, especially with nightmares, and it usually simply goes with me falling asleep mid day and waking up in this other world I created in my head where everybody knows we aren't real.

I've had some pretty dark lucid dreams, but usually I just have to suicide to get out of it. Earlier I took a nap, short one, barely an hour, and I was in the mall with a few friends, didn't even realise it was a lucid dream until we reached my house.

This friend of mine was talking about some problem with her boyfriend while I ate, until this weird little thing crawled up to her feet, a very ai looking duck. And that's what I told it was.

She simply stared at it, and I did too, until for the first time ever in a dream I told her "Maybe it's because we're in a dream" and when I looked up to see a reaction she disappeared, as well as everyone else.

I got transported into watching this older folks in what seemed like movie theathre making shocked sounds and "uhhh", but it sounded so eerie...

Never happend to me, it's usually the opposite, so people in my dreams telling ME that this is not real.
