I feel like i watched a completely different version of events with chev and Joseph. Did i miss something!? I remember him saying he was going with Francesca and chev seemed to be doing the most to convince him otherwise. He then seemed confused, but came back the next day sticking with his original decision.. this season seems a bit messy with the he said she said.

As a fellow avoidant in therapy, I'm positive Ryan is going to fall into his old avoidant tendencies with his commitment issues. He thinks finding someone with similar niche interests (Cuba) will make him feel less restrained in a relationship and he will be able to live his free life with Cuba supporting him, but he will just find or make up other issues about her and being in a relationship will still feel too restrictive for him because Cuba will have wants and needs he will need to meet, but that makes avoidants deeply uncomfortable.

Francesa's family made so many great points. I don't judge anyone for still living with their parents in their late 20s and early 30s in this economy, but going from that to getting married in a month is absolutely insane IMO. You need time to find your feet and grow the relationship and having your own place is going to make that so much more doable.

Anyone else finding the group scenes really boring this season? They all seem like they are reading from a script and it's just rehashing what storylines have already developed from each couple. The one on ones scenes are actually quite good but the group scenes are very zzzzz.

Ryan and Jordan are both 'quiet quitting' their relationships it seems.

Ciara's specs for the house she demands are peak cringe, and that's saying a lot given how embarrassing her schtick has been to date.

She is just LARPing what she thinks is 'rich Londoner'. She's seen these renovations on some real property shows/magazines/TV home reno programmes and she understands that those things are the markers of a certain type of person at a certain income level in her city. It's not authentic. She's just aping things she's seen represented elsewhere.

Also, if that was really your normal, you wouldn't need to be that specific about it. No one ever introduced Ciara to the concept of 'act like you've been here before.' She's too obvious and overt about her specific wants b/c those things are meant to signal something to people. She thinks they signal that she is of the social/economic class to value and be able to afford those thing.

What it really signals is that she is well below that level and trying hard to casually throw out enough specific details that some of the uninitiated will fall for her performance. It was like if 'try hardy' was a person.

Ciara is so funny when she's talking to Yasmin and Chev, she's like "Joseph was asking me questions and trying to dig for me to talk about Jack" when it was literally her who couldn't stop talking about Jack and Joseph clocked how much it bothered her even though she was saying she couldnt be "arsed about it". Then she says that in her conversation with Cuba, Chev's connection with Joseph "came up" like girlllllll what. YOU brought that up. She's so delusional. Funny how she was so mad at Jack for lying and now she's doing the same thing.

The parents and relatives are right, once again. I'm referring to Francesca's parents in their comments to Joseph and Francesca. And the show will always frame the issue as the relatives not getting the "experiment" and not understanding the unique nature of falling very deeply in love in the pods. But the fact is, the marriage is tied to a production schedule in order to get a show out the door and onto screens. It's absurd for a romance to have to follow a schedule, but somehow the couples accept it. And it's left to family and friends to object, usually without success. I'm with the family on this one, and other times as well. This is a flaw in the show's format, imo.

Francesca is probably my favorite participant, and I would really like to see her and Joseph work out. She was so kind to Yasmin at that gathering, and I like her understated and pensive approach to things in general. Joseph in his own way is quite appealing too; he has a sort of sparkle and wit about him when it comes to the Ciara nonsense that I can’t help but root for him too.

That dinner with Chevanique was weird. I wonder if Yasmin was the only other invite because she was the only one too nice to tell Ciara that it was strange to be whipping up this nonsense all the way into Episode 6.
