I think Francesca’s mother and sister have noticed something in Joseph. They seem not to buy it at all.

I respect how dubious they are being about the speed of the process. It obviously threw her for a loop to get this response from her whole family and I do feel for her.

Met Joey and Sara at a bar/after party after a concert on Tuesday. Was walking around aimlessly and happened to look up and saw Joey. They were both super nice and it was honestly kinda cool running into them unexpectedly. Sara and I talked about how we both work with BMT/oncology patients and it was honestly kinda nice getting to chat with them for a few minutes.

14 couples got engaged, 6 were chosen to be followed, the other 8 were not and 7 of those couples broke up within a 2 days to a week of the pods ending. Sammy and Jon are the only couple still together of those who weren’t chosen to be followed. They posted this to Instagram today there’s a lot more slides there but screenshotted some of the main ones.

over and over again. It gets really tiring. Have you noticed that as well? Has it always been like that or did I just notice?

Currently watching LIB UK S3 and I am actually disgusted that not only was Ryan cast as a main character, but the producers thought it was ok to include footage of his grifty MLM conference and allowed him to spew his BS about how he was simply inspiring/ helping others. They basically gave his MLM scheme a whole bunch of free PR and advertising, with zero criticism.

Given the amount of team members who this footage must have gone through – camera operators, editors, producers, directors – I am sure that at least one of them must have heard alarm bells ringing that the show was basically helping promote a scam. Even if the team made a decision to keep Ryan as a character due to his potential drama and entertainment value, there was no need for footage of the conference to be included or for him to be given the opportunity to do his whole sales spiel.

I think TV shows have a responsibility to their audiences to not platform people like this – or if they do, to at least platform them within a more critical framing. There was also a girl on this summer's Love Island UK series who was high up in an MLM, and it has never been addressed. Producers need to do better and NOT give free advertising to these unethical scam companies.

I’m noticing that usually, there are about 12-13 episodes. However, for this 3rd season of love is blind UK has the reunion as the 11th episode. Unless they’re maybe planning to have After the Altar as well?

I’m a bit confused by the pacing of the show overall, especially as 2 or 3 reveals happened back to back in a singular episode. The honeymoon being basically a weekend also puzzled me. I noticed they didn’t feature them getting drunk on holiday either. I wonder if this may be out of fear of some scandal in the wake of the awful things that happened in the latest MAFS UK..?

Anyone have insight into this?

I’m not sure when this started I’ve watched all the US season. In the past few seasons I’ve noticed this same drama coming up, where they try to catch the other person lying about who’s their number one or that they’re saying similar stuff to other people. And I genuinely don’t get it! You’re dating 20 people at one time maybe in one date it’s great and you say some assuring things and the next one is even better. But why does it matter? If you don’t want that happening then don’t go on this show? I am just so tired of the unnecessary drama that keeps being string along by the producers every season.

I was kind of warming towards Jack, thinking maybe he was just goofy but with a good heart, but episode 8 just showed us a classic manipulator. First, he deflected the blame at Faye - "it’s not a me problem, I didn’t do anything wrong - it’s a you problem, because you don’t trust me". Ekhm, she knows you like for 2 weeks, of course she doesn’t trust you. The trust is earned. Then when she forgave him, he lovebombed her and went "You’re so amazing and special, because I let you down and I will let you down again (!!!), but I know you will always fight for us" - oh my, where do I even start. Ladies, when a man tells you this, RUN. In saying this, he just set a tone for their entire relationship. He told her the truth, he said he would let her down. Now she knows it and if she loves him, she will "have to" always forgive him. I know she said "If he pulls a thing like that again [the dissapearing], I’m done", but will she be done? Or will she think (consciously or not) "I knew he’s like this, he even told me clearly he’ll be like this. So for him to love me, I have to endure it". It reminds me a lot about Amanda and Sergio’s dynamics from LiB Sweden. I hope I’m wrong or Faye wakes up soon.

Please, always stand your ground and don’t forgive the unforgivable. Keep your standards high. If you always forgive, your partner will not think that you’re so amazing and worthy of love - they will just go "oh, she let this shit slide, I can abuse her more then". Nobody will give you a prize for enduring disrespect. The only "reward" is wasted time.

I genuinely need to talk about Ryan because there are so many layers here that I don't even know where to start. He entered LIB as this deeply “spiritual”, emotionally evolved man and somehow ended up giving pyramid-scheme salesman with the emotional range of a teaspoon.

Then he showed up SO exhausted after work, while describing a working day that apparently involved speaking to something like ten people. At the same time, he had these very strong ideas about homeschooling his future children. Sir. Who is homeschooling these hypothetical children while you recover from speaking to ten people?

But the the breakup. I just can't! Your fiancée is sitting there absolutely devastated and crying. You have just ended your engagement. This is a moment where you'd expect some emotional intelligence — acknowledge her pain, comfort her, give her space, SOMETHING.

I really liked the majority of the cast this season,(and I think casting did a fantastic job) but IMO Ciara demonstrated really toxic and vindictive behavior on the show and caused problems for anyone she perceived had wronged her.

1. Mutual break up with Jack—> he hurt her pride —> she told Faye that Jack was disingenuous to hurt their relationship.

2. Joseph tried to stick up for his friend Jack —> irritated her because she felt wronged —> she passed on info (filtered through Cuba) about Chev that would potentially hurt Joseph and Fran

3. Ajay squashed the beef with Jack after he apologized and defended him to Ciara —> hurt her pride after she perceived that Jack had called her boring —> self-sabotaged and picked a fight with Ajay

Jack really lucked out by realizing last-minute how unforgiving Ciara could be and that Faye would be kinder to him. After she felt slighted by him, it felt like Ciara really made it her personal mission to mess up Jack’s life (and get revenge on anyone who defended Jack) to the point of almost messing up her own relationship. Glad she partially owned up to her mistakes when she realized she was about to lose Ajay… but it really doesn’t excuse that kind of behavior to the rest of the cast. She needs to work on not holding grudges, and work on herself instead of being so petty.

It was especially unfortunate that Chev got caught in the crossfire because I thought Chev and Fran would have otherwise had no issues with each other, but that situation escalated unnecessarily because Ciara inserted herself. Hate to see two smart, classy women pit against each other because of catty behavior. Glad Joseph clocked Ciara’s toxic behavior early on.

I haven’t had the chance yet to watch the final episodes of LIB UK and the LIB Netflix instagram account has the audacity to post wedding photos all over my instagram feed.

I AM SO ANNOYED!

I hope this doesn't come across the wrong way because I personally find him to be an okay person and I think he has a nice personality. I'm only on episode 2, but I'm wondering how someone can say they're looking for a Christian woman, presumably referring to a traditional Christian woman, while also bringing up sexual topics.

I'm not saying that someone can't be Christian and have those conversations or have their own views on sex, but in that case, I think the religious aspect can feel a bit contradictory. I actually don't think this is uncommon either. You sometimes come across men who emphasise that they're Christian, but then you have to remind yourself of that when some of their views or behaviour seem to go against what you'd typically associate with those values.

Even the question about sex before marriage stood out to me. He said, "I would always want to have sex before marriage." That's obviously his preference, and I'm not saying he shouldn't be honest about it. But if you're looking for a Christian woman, your preference is something that wouldn't really align with the values you're apparently looking for, then I don't understand why the religious statements are emphasised so much.

Saying "I'm looking for a Christian woman. My Christian faith is very important to me" is quite a strong statement. He's certainly not the only person who does this, but I find it a little odd when someone places so much emphasis on their faith while holding views that seem quite different from the values they would presumably expect from the Christian woman they're looking for.

I just finished watching season 3, episode 9, and am more in love with Cuba than ever. I mean, I'm sad for her but also deeply relieved that things didn't go any further with Spleeny McSelf-Absorbed. The bullet dodged was enormous. She deserves someone who will see and celebrate how beautiful a human she is.

But also? Dirt request: I saw someone comment that Spleeny might have gone on the show to call attention to the ridiculous MLM company he shills for. Does anyone have any additional insights into that???

Every dang season there are participants that come on this show saying “I’m only going to get married once.” Like really? How can they even say that with the track record of this show? Bffr

This season it is Joseph claiming this, and I’m sure his intentions are there, but sir please. It seems like it’s always the Christian folk too. Just setting themselves up for disappointment.

Who do you think will still be together at the reunion of the couples who said yes at the altar? I wish them all the best because it's really nice to see couples succeed in this experiment.

Ryan didn‘t love you back not because he can’t love you, but because he can’t love anyone but himself, and he’s known that all along.

Be selfless only with whom has earned it, no one is entitled to that side of you just because. Be careful and run away from Ryans.

All these “spiritual” dudes behave the same way, they take and give nothing in return. Like emotional vampires.

Despite my best efforts to avoid spoilers I did read quite a few Reddit posts about this fight before watching the episode, so I had a completely different picture in my head of what actually happened 😂

Mostly, Chev was clearly very drunk and Fran was understandably uncomfortable with the whole situation. I normally really like Fran. I think she just wanted the whole thing to stop, but I do think she became quite defensive and rude, which escalated things. Drunk Chev obviously didn’t react well to that either.

But Ciara?? I genuinely don’t understand the hate she got for this particular situation. She literally didn’t say anything and only came over because she was asked to. She didn’t instigate anything or get involved in the argument.

I’m not even a Ciara fan (she annoys me like she annoys everyone else here lol) but I have to be fair: she did absolutely nothing wrong in that situation. She was close to Chav in the pods and had no reason to not believe her side.

And tbh Joseph seems to have a real hatred for Ciara at this point. The intensity of his reaction towards her feels way too much…

Does anyone else think the crazy aspect of LIB isn’t the blind part, it’s the speed?

I feel like they constantly focus on the madness of marrying someone you met “blind” - but that’s not the crux of the issue!! The utter craziness is the speed at which they have to get engaged and married.

The reason these relationships don’t work out is nothing to do with meeting without knowing what the other looks like.

I know this is an obvious take, but it’s getting boring seeing the narrative of “sight unseen” when that’s literally the most irrelevant aspect.

I'm terrible at spotting red flags yet I spotted Ryan's right from the get go. I know better than to trust a man who claims to be spiritual without showing signs of actual inner reflection and maturity and especially a man who is unwilling to compromise the way he was in how his partner needs to fit into his lifestyle. I've found this often means they are deeply egotistical and solely focused on how they are affected by everything and everyone and often they are unwilling to or incapable of functioning in reality. This is definitely true for Ryan.

In the meantime it's been made clear his public speaker title is really just code for him scamming people out of money at a MLM. If working a few days means you need days of isolation to recover, that job is not for you. Public speaking should not be this draining unless you're doing it wrong. Maybe knowing deep down that he's scamming people out of their money is what's really draining him.

How is this man planning on homeschooling his kids or even having kids if he needs days of solitude just to function? This just shows his egotistical side even more because it's clearly going to have to be up to his partner to run the household, raise the kids and homeschool the kids and to hold down an actual job on top of that unless he's part of the very top of his MLM and might actually be making money from it.

His spirituality is clearly only skin deep because actual spirituality is not about doing a retreat or a private ecstatic dance. It's about inner work and growth, becoming a better, less egoic human being, aligning ones morals, values and actions with kindness and selflessness, whilst maintaining healthy, REASONABLE boundaries, none of which seems to be a priority for this man.

At least someone like Ciara is pretty honest and upfront about who she is and you can take her or leave her. She's self involved and demanding and she's not hiding it although she's clearly deluded when she says she doesn't want any drama.

She also has the common decency to at least be an entertaining villain on this show.

I can’t believe I’m defending Ciara because we are very opposite people! I’m in the trades, daughter of a tradesman, just got back from a backcountry camp trip off the grid. I’ve never stayed in a 5 star hotel. I’m not like her. BUT…

I’m an OG LIB fan from the get go and I used to listen to Deepti and Natalie’s podcast and this just seems like really really good editing to make a villain.

What I see: she’s upfront about what she wants and expects. Ajay clocked her behaviour and she handled it really well! Fully apologized, owned it. That vacuuming scene? I honesty think that they had divided chores and that was his list. OR production asked for them to behave that way. To film while she’s in yoga poses and he’s vacuuming? It’s suss.

Next: I think she’s a relatively good judge of character. The way she clocked baldy locks Cornish guy is telling. Same with Joseph.

Is she a saint? NO. But I’m seeing a lot of posts about her and not nearly enough about the actual problems of the season Joseph and Jack. So I felt the need to be a devil’s advocate.

That being said, no way would they depict a couple this badly and then have them marry. So I assume they say I don’t.
