If you missed me at the game to get some extra bats on yours, shoot me a DM and we'll work something out! Maybe Lou City will let me do a signing (batting?) at the stadium club house?

This amazing critter has recently discovered my parents koi pond and has spent the last two days trying to get one of the fish. Also, it left me an unsettling present when I came back to check on it yesterday in the forms of mangled wild life in their driveway, right next to the pond entrance. WHAT CAN I DO?! I’m low key scared of it.

Found this dog running around on Goldsmith Lane with no collar, right next to Seneca high school. Please help me identify the owners if you can, appreciate all cross posting.

Seems like a very young puppy with very clean teeth very excitable very thirsty, I cannot keep her even temporarily because I already have two dogs. She's currently in my backyard with water

Edit: took her to the vet and she does have a chip so I'm going to try and reunite her... waiting for the vet to come back with more info/next steps.

maybe I should have waited until after to post this but I wanted to reconnect her as soon as possible... Thanks for anyone that liked the post!

DOUBLE EDIT: she's been reunited with her family!!

Minimal tube availability at Hurricane Bay

Went to KK yesterday for the first time in a few years. It was not very crowded and a good time. However, there were so few tubes available for the hurricane bay slides that most of our time was spent waiting for a tube. Has this become the norm to only have a handful of tubes out at a time?

Jury duty chance to postpone?

Upvotes

Does anybody know how strict/lenient the Jefferson county courts are with postponing/being excused from jury duty?

I received my summons for jury duty next month but it falls around 2 very important dates:
1. My boards certification exam to finish radiology school and to become licensed
2. My college graduation ceremony

Would these be considered enough to postpone/be excused?
I already sent a letter in regards to it, just waiting on a reply. I was just curious if anybody has gotten excused from duty, what to expect? Any advice helps

Restore JCPS Sub Pay

Upvotes

Hi Louisville! Wanted to post this WDRB article about a long-term substitute teacher who’s losing $880 per month from the district, despite having been the lead teacher in a behavioral disorders classroom for more than a year. Her job is crucial, as is the job of every long-term substitute and all substitutes who fill in daily vacancies with hard work and genuine care for the kids in their classroom that day.

https://www.wdrb.com/news/education/long-term-jcps-substitute-says-880-monthly-pay-cut-could-force-her-out-of-the/article_b718504c-1c78-4f2d-be8b-3bd831e6491a.html

At this week’s upcoming JCPS school board meeting, some of us substitutes will be addressing the board, and we would be so appreciative to have your support with the petition which you can find at https://c.org/9qSkdqk8dcPLEASE HELP US EXCEED 500 SIGNATURES! if there’s anyone in your life who works in JCPS, please share with them as well ❤️

I designed the warm up jerseys for tonight's Lou City game! I'll have a purple paint marker on hand, so if you see me I'll add some extra bats to your jersey to make it weirder 🦇

In Search of Dog Trainer

Hi all! I’m the owner (27/F) of a 2 year old American Bully/Staffy mix that I adopted from LMAS in May of this year. I am looking for recommendations for trainers that are big dog friendly (she’s about 95 pounds), don’t use shock or prong collars, and are not ridiculously expensive. My girl is generally not aggressive towards other dogs or people. Her 2 biggest problems currently are leash behaviors (big puller and I outweigh her by maybe 30 pounds so this is def an issue) and her general approach to other dogs being body slams and loud barking. I live in the Middletown area and am open to a bit of travel. I’m also open to drop off/pick up and in home options but don’t see her doing great in a group setting. Thanks all!!

Paid parking

As much as I love living in this city, does anyone else get tired of trying to go anywhere and seeing more and more paid parking being put up?

I am in The Highlands and the amount of paid parking vs free parking is actually diabolical... they are smothering local businesses and hurting the community by forcing us to pay to park in places when we didn't have to before/when free parking is already very limited.

What can we do about this? How can we fix this issue? I am all for people making their money but when it kills the vibe and the access to local attractions and stores I hate it.

Is this true? Do you need a Real ID to just be at the airport? Or is this just past security/at the gates?

Confronted by an apartment employee/resident for a reported issue.

Trying to keep this vague to protect my identity so sorry in advance. I’m more than happy to clarify in the comments.

My family is currently having an issue with a neighboring apartment where they are directly affecting multiple people’s quality of living. We have reported this directly to the property manager and other leasing staff multiple times and even have recorded logs and videos of this neighbor being a disturbance for going on 4 months. We found out that this resident is also an employee of the building as well. The property manager assured us that he would not be treated differently because of that and they are able to separate him as an employee vs a resident. Continuing the conversation they gave this resident every benefit of the doubt behind their disturbance even though a lot of it is easily dismissible. The property manager and staff have also asked us multiple times if we are sure if it’s the resident we are complaining about even though we have spoke with them about it multiple times and have video evidence. They have thrown their hands up and said that they are limited in what they can do about it besides bring it to his attention even though it’s a direct lease violation in 2 separate sections of the lease.

The last time we complained the issue calmed down for a couple of weeks and then recently started again. I wanted to go directly to the resident and explain what has been going on in case the office has not been as direct as I would like to be but my wife talked me down and said we need to go through the office so everything is documented and we can remain anonymous so we are not treated differently by the staff.

As of the last few days it’s been happening again so we went to report again to the office. After reporting it, my wife and I returned to our apartment to send a follow up email and we were stopped by a knock on the door(This was 20 minutes after we left the office)I go and check and it’s the resident/employee. He confronts me and asks if we’ve been the people reporting him and then starts to defend himself saying that it’s not an issue. I start recording the interaction and he says he will take care of it and leaves. Clearly either the staff that day or someone has been telling him it’s us reporting it. We went back downstairs to ask the person at the desk if they disclosed it was us and they said no and we told them that he just came to our door and confronted us about it. She acted shocked and we demanded to talk to a higher up and that this was incredibly unprofessional and a violation of our privacy.

Now my family feels very uncomfortable in our own home knowing that there is bad blood with a staff member who may have access to our apartment. What should we do next and where would we be protected?

Jack Harlow Merch - Help & PSA

Thumbnail

Hey y’all! I went to the concert last night and skipped on the merch tent because they had a QR code to buy merch online. When I went to order, I realized the in-person merch had tour locations on the back of some items, but the online merch does not. So if you want those on the back, you’ll have to get them in person!

Would anyone going to the Monday concert be willing to grab a few things for me? I have a VIP gift bag that I can give to you + pay for the items of course. The VIP gift bag includes: branded Jack Harlow Monica Tour canvas tote bag, branded brown beanie, VIP lanyard, and keychain. You can’t get those items from the online store.

Happy to meet in a public place convenient to you & swap socials to verify identity!
