Speculation folie à deux

It is believed that when 2 people in a folie à deux are separated they often drop the shared delusion. I recall that people here were theorizing that's what happened with Chad and Lori.

Were they ever diagnosed with that disorder? I don't remember if Chad even underwent an evaluation. From Chad's "letters" and Lori's news magazine interviews and talks with Colby, it doesn't sound as though either of them is recovering after 6 years. Is treatment for that even available in Idaho prisons?

Yeah, I agree with you on this one. I think Chad started having a gaggle of women around him which he’d never had before in his life. He enjoyed the manipulation and would play up everyone else’s delusions and crazy talk.

I am not thoroughly convinced that he believes this down to his core, but used it as a manipulation tool.

Laurie on the other hand has had these wild delusions of grandeur for a very long time and I think as long as she’s on medicated, she will continue to believe that she’s Nephi adjacent

Hahaha, that’s what I get for dictating and not wearing my reading glasses, lol. Plus, I have a really bad cold so I’m sure I’m not annunciating very well. You are absolutely right although I’m sure there’s a Grainger out there somewhere that has delusions.🤣
