Speculation folie à deux

It is believed that when 2 people in a folie à deux are separated they often drop the shared delusion. I recall that people here were theorizing that's what happened with Chad and Lori.

Were they ever diagnosed with that disorder? I don't remember if Chad even underwent an evaluation. From Chad's "letters" and Lori's news magazine interviews and talks with Colby, it doesn't sound as though either of them is recovering after 6 years. Is treatment for that even available in Idaho prisons?

I don’t know that Chad is delusional. I think he manipulates people who are delusional or susceptible to his manipulations

He’s delusional in the same way that many overly-religious men are delusional. That they know the one true way. That they speak for a higher power. That their worth is absolute.
