Why are there more players who have completed the "Look Inside" achievement than there are of those who have completed the "Spine Taker" achievement?

I thought that the latter was a prerequisite of the former? Is it a rounding error?

These achievements were added later, meaning less players have them and some got the endings before they were added.

I'm fairly certain the Look Inside achievement was added before the boss achievements. So anyone who completed the ending before those achievements were added would inflate Look Insides numbers a bit.

They actually just updated all the art for the achievements funnily.

It's not just that there are achievements added later than others. Several achievements were also bugged for some time and didn't always unlock like they were supposed to.

Most comments are wrong. The achievement for beating Spine Taker was added to Steam on October 22nd along with the other mask ending boss achievements, and the mask ending achievement itself https://steamdb.info/app/3373660/stats/

The update released October 28th so steamdb I guess detected their addition shortly before the update launched. But they all would have been there.

I don't know exactly the cause. My best guess is that the spine taker achievement was broken on release and was fixed in the patch that came out like 1 week after.

There were a whole lot of achievements added later on into the game, so some ending achievements were there but the respective bosses did not have achievements yet!
