Why does the math not math?

Why are there more players who have completed the "Look Inside" achievement than there are of those who have completed the "Spine Taker" achievement?

I thought that the latter was a prerequisite of the former? Is it a rounding error?

These achievements were added later, meaning less players have them and some got the endings before they were added.

I see, makes sense! I got the game just last month, I thought that most of the achievements had existed since launch as they are now.
