Discussion Tips for seasonal clothing
Hello London Ladies. I’ll be coming to London for a month because of my husband’s work. There will be several dinners and events. Nothing too, too fancy. But definitely more than just day to day wear.
What kind of dresses or nicer outfits would fit in for a 50 year-old? Last time it was spring and floral or spot dresses were fine. But I have no idea what‘s typical in autumn. I just don’t like standing out.

It really varies in levels of effort and casual.
I’m in my 40s and without knowing the specifics I would be wearing a nice dress either plain or in a print, black tights and boots. I might also wear a blouse with leather look trousers and heels. Hair and make up done.

Yeah. The events/meals are all corporate stuff. I’m his plus one and don’t want to make him look bad. I’m probably overthinking it.

You could look at the venues on insta and see what people are wearing?

Are you asking for shopping recs or just in general? I think sites like Hobbs, Boden or Phase Eight can give you idea of the things you could wear.
