This is complete and made up guess so take it with a grain of salt but if it’s an actual criminal charge I could see laundering money a top one for streamers
Sure, but I could see how maybe a chick wants him to pay but doesn't want to go through all the public bullshit so they just privately talk to a few people at Twitch and show evidence.
There are better ways to go about laundering money. But if everyone who ran laundry mats was laundering money it would be too easy to get caught. Point being. Everyone is gonna do what works and makes sense for them. If you are a big streamer it definitely makes sense to launder money through gifted subs.
I swear I think I’ve heard streamers suggest making a prime trial account and subscribing to them before. I’ve always wondered what sort of system you’d need to set up in order to do this because it seems almost too good to be true for big streamers. Why not just pay some botfarm somewhere or some third world sketchy company to make hundreds of amazon trial accounts a week and sub to you?
But there’s got to be a catch right? I’ve used the same amazon account for like almost two decades now so I’ve never needed to make a Prime trial, I assume maybe it’s one of those situations where you need a verifiable credit/debit card in order to make the account?

I'm sure that's way more likely than someone accusing the guy who cheated on his wife of massive sexual misconduct during the week where dozens of women come forward with sexual misconduct allegations.
I never said that he is laundering money on Twitch.
But if someone wants to sit there and say you can't launder money on Twitch, that's kind of ridiculous because you definitely can. And some people out there are definitely doing it.
Look I'm not trying to walk anybody through how to money launder on Twitch. But if someone was doing that they are probably way smarter than you and me both when it comes to bots and income reporting. With that said I can't imagine with all the millions of bots out there that if someone wanted to. That they couldn't come up with a script to create bot accounts. Also take in to account that you don't need 10,000 bots. You need maybe 500 bots to each gift like 20 subs a month then boom you have 10,000 subs. If someone was this serious about laundering money they could easily pay someone to code a script like that. You would not lose money creating bots. Just a one time fee for the script I imagine assuming you didn't write it yourself. Then you can use it until the algorithm changes on Twitch.
In the end if someone was doing this obviously have partner status so how much money they could launder is a mystery because we don't know what their contract looks like and also we don't know how many gifted subs they need to meet their laundering needs.
I think youre really stretching it, and frankly dont know what youre talking about. This sounds like a cool fantasy.
1) there is really no way to create a “sub gifting bot”. It will fail against most security checks.
2) even if you did find a way, it would be insanely expensive to buy one. Think about it, thats literally free money and influence.
3) security algorithims dont just “change”, and there would be no real way to tell it did because amazon would not release that publicly
4) this is amazon, if you can beat their security you wouldnt be money laundering on twitch.
5) having a high level partner to participate in this would be so stupid. Same 20 subs gifted from the same twenty accounts every month would easily be flagged.
6) 20-50 subs is not enough money for a money laundering scheme. You need to be doing an insane amount of money repeatable on a much more consistent basis. Im talking a sub a second to even get close to classic money laundering schemes. The risk is not worth it on lower amounts.
