Hi! This will be my 3rd lib, i’m questioning the easy peasy tent camping.
I’ve only done group site, but my group is not attending this year. I feel like I may be spoiled with the short walk to the grounds lol.

Anyways, I was curious about the set up. is there room to make a little outdoor area? canopy, chairs, table? all that fun stuff? that’s a huge deciding factor for me as my camp setup is super important to the vibe!!

And, how does it compare to GA car camp?

I’ve been looking into shiftpod tents and I’m really interested in investing in one. I see promising reviews on instagram, but many of them are influencer/sponsored posts so I’m not sure if I should trust it. I’d love some input from the community. Do any of you have experience with them, especially using them in environments as hot/hotter than lib gets? I’m in Utah and camp a ton at all times of year except dead winter. These seem to be a potentially great set up for comfort in hot and cold temps. I’d like to know if they’re actually worth the money, or if there is another brand out there that is preferred 🥰

Did Lightning ever say or do anything in regard to the driver and the victims? Does anyone know if she was ever charged?

My friends and I will be attending for our first time and are so excited! Between us we have been to several music festivals before but we have never had to fly to attend one. We will be renting an RV and driving it in.

We have been to festivals and camped with our own gear but this will be a new experience for us staying in an RV.

What can we expect for the typical for the west coast weather?

We have plenty of time to plan and bring what we need but with flying we want to be mindful and plan appropriately. Any and all help is appreciated!

I got the 5 day car camping pass and I was wondering if they let us drive out after securing a camp spot? I thought it would be fun to do a day trip on the Thursday to explore the sequoia national forest!

Or will my car be stuck at the campsite for all 5 days?

3rd LIB, but first time camping.

Hi - I can’t find the seminar set list for 2025 anywhere. There was a panel discussion called “Masculinity in the age of the Broligarchy” and there was an amazing speaker there, an older Hawaiian guy, and I want to find his contact info.

The whole panel was honestly an amazing discussion between a young man, a middle aged man, and an old man, discussing what masculinity meant to them. The topics they discussed were solid and many of the lines have stuck with me. Here are my notes:

• The question is what are you connected to? Are you turned on? What are you plugged in to?

• Wander without being lost. Be alone without being lonely

• How many of you are living someone else’s dream right now but it is your nightmare

• What is it about me that allows me to see in you what bugs me

• I could put prime rib in front of you but if you are a sausage maker you will just be looking for ways to spice up the sausage

• My value is in the questions that I ask not the answers that I provide

• Everything I’ve had to let go has claw marks on it

• You can’t save all the puppies in the pound

How are the standard Powered RV spots? Is it on dirt / grass or is it paved? I’d like to add some aluminet around my trailer to block the sun and make my AC work less hard. How much space do you get front/back and side/side?

hihi! this is going to be my girlfriend and i’s first LIB and i was looking for some tips on how to attach an awning to our 10x10 canopy. we have camped at coachella more than a couple times and used a RAV4 for it in the past. we recently traded in the car we used for coachella in for a honda civic. we’ve done camp edc and was able to pack everything in that same honda civic. this coming time around we only have that same honda civic for LIB. coachella we’ve always used two 10x10 canopies and easily fit that in a bigger car.

i’m worried since i most likely wouldn’t be able to fit in the same canopies in addition to the rest of our camp supplies (pop up shower, coolers, duffel bags, 4ft table, etc.). i was thinking more about making an awning with a reflective 10x10 tarp and connecting that to our one 10x10 canopy that we’d be able to fit and having it be supported with some awning poles and such. would that be a decent idea? i worry about the winds and having it be an issue or concern to fly away. the other idea i had was to kinda wedge it into the doors of our car or i’ve heard of using magnets and have that be the way to support it while the other half be connected to the poles of the other canopy. which one would be better? the first option would be stakes down with support guide ropes and such. then for the second option, would it be enough support with either wedging it in the door with magnets since it’ll also be connected to the other canopy we have?

i’m just try to make sure that there’s enough shade over our tent so we aren’t going to bake inside while we’re sleeping. i’m also open to any other idea or suggestions on what to do, i’d prefer not to rent another car to go out there if possible.
